I was just trying to do a deathless run and found out the hard way that if you try to visit the cursed northeast village early, you get auto-killed by the parasite cabin guy and fed to the fishes lol.

I mean, your point makes sense, but it's not that uncommon for series to only get two games (ie. Blasphemous, Ender Lilies, Black Souls, etc). Just depends on what the devs want to do.
OP's point still stands that this kind of game genre is a bit overused. It's a good sidescroller/metroidvania don't get me wrong, but you can find a h-game sidescroller under a rock. And if I wanted to play a metroidvania without porn being the main appeal, i'd just play ninesols or silksong since they are more fun imo.

some people say the same thing about sidescrollers in general because there are a lot and yet when a game like silksong comes out everyone loves it
there is no such thing as an overused genre, and even if there was, trust me sidesrollers ain't one of them as there aren't actually that many h sidescrollers, we get a lot of RPGM games, so many that probably no one will be able to play all of them, yet i assure you most of us have already played all the h-sidescrollers there are out there because they don't make that many of them, only a few every now and then
also who knows if we'll get a third blasphemous or a sequel to ender lilies, some other series have gone years without a sequel then one drops out of nowhere like momodora reverie under the moonlight released in 2016, then minoria in 2019 that's just 3 years, however moonlit farewell came out in 2024 that's 5 years
then some games have gotten recent revivals

and it actually don't need to be a sinisistar 3, a friend of mine was already complaining the other day about this being too similar to 1 thematically, an opinion i don't share but point is it can be a spiritual successor a different kind of action game set in another universe
now don't get me wrong, game just released, and the dev is making DLC for the game, we ain't getting a new game announcement any time soon if you ask me, but maybe a couple years down the lane we'll get a sinisistar 3 that'd be cool, one thing is for sure, it would be LAME as fuck if the dev makes a RPG, visual novel, or some other non-action game

sfw games are more fun than h games most of the time
if i wanted to play a fun and solid RPG, i'd play a trails or a tales game, yes?
or a cool FPS, which would you say is more fun, CoD or seed of the dead?
