that tag usually gets applied when the project sees no attention ( at least publicly ), don't know if it has to be done manually or automatically. however I
did some snoopin and found two clips of her talking about how the size, girth if you would, of the update is quite substantial thus taking time.

update BIG take long time.
so there is hope that we'll see an update in the next 1 ~ 300 months, but who knows maybe she's stalling maybe not, i see no reason to worry unless you have put money in her pocket for this project.
just live life until update, I find black tar heroine to be very good time waster
(for legal reasons i would like to inform you that i do not condone nor recommend the use,consumption,manufacturing or distribution of black tar heroine).

yeah i've read that bullshit.
It's abandoned until they actually fucking update, anything else is meaningless to me.

Wouldn't worry about the game's status, AFAIK they were redoing some of the code from a previous post so they could add things more quickly.
The early builds were a 'test' concept build for the game and it was said as such.The overall response has been pretty solid from what I've seen.
Also as a sidenote, the dev is living in 'almost squalor', not a place I'd want to be. House falling apart and all that.
