Im assuming the AI CG tag is for the backgrounds since the time I spent playing this last update I don't remember there being anything that looked ai, and as a matter of fact when I came back to see the update I was quite surprised to see the tag

Not necessairly, either they are placeholders, or they use AI to make the task of making general designs for the characters and backgrounds easier, if they animate them properly they can still look as good or even better than hand drawn stuff, what could be better is a jump to a different engine, say Unity to enable option to use Live2D for animations or even the Unity's built in animation tools to flesh out the simulation and interactivity aspect, but who knows what they'll be able to do.

It's only for the backgrounds. I think most of them are real backgrounds with an AICG layer on top of it. No big deal to me.
