Does anyone who understands nifscope know if it would be possible to combine/add the hanging cum from PredatorRj's Liquid pack to Halo's HDT tongues?

Does anyone who understands nifscope know if it would be possible to combine/add the hanging cum from PredatorRj's Liquid pack to Halo's HDT tongues?
OCum uses an overlay that's placed on the area (works like a temp tattoo, although the creampies are actually hacky bits of clothing that get removed when a re-clothe is issued). Looking at the Liquid pack, it's using the same method (or rather: should be, haven't opened it up in an editor). Adding it to the tongue sounds a bit harder as the HDT tongue is itself just an object (see - note the lack of mesh to it). The easiest (although pretty hacky) way would be to offset the layer away from the face with a tongue shaped hole in it and apply at the same time as the tongue, using the same method as the OCum layers. It'd require a bit of work though, and you'd have to edit OCum Ascended to use it properly.

~Edit: opened it up, took a look. It's just Armor which means the answer is "no" since you can't apply armor to a tongue. Why someone would make these as actual armor pieces and not overlays is fucking bizarre. You could, theoretically, swap one in and out during a scene but you'd need to know how to work the OStim / OCum scripts pretty well to do so. i.e. Create a new Armor piece using the SMP drips offset off the face, edit with a tongue shaped hole in, edit the OCum script to swap in that head armor when OStim orgasm + HDT tongue were both deployed then remove it when HDT tongue was reset. Possible, but a lot of work.

TL;DR

The original author should have made these overlays. Why he did not is a mystery. If he had done, the entire package would be actually useful and not just a static deco project (I'm guessing he couldn't add SMP to overlays technically without a bit of coding).

Edit - having done a bit of thought about this while having a coffee & working, a much easier solution would be to create your own HDT texture with the drips attached. You'd probably not have SMP, but it'd be a) a whole lot less work and b) much easier to point OCum (or something like ) to using it on a conditional. So - fire up the editor, merge the HDT tongue of choice (probably looks best in a snake version) and then apply as you would a HDT tongue. Note: you're going to have to probably do a bit of code patching of OStim / Tongue to enable a conditional.

Thanks for taking a look and for a detailed explanation, I wasn't really thinking of integration with ostim (though that would have been a plus) just mainly adding that dripping effect to halos tongues.
In case you aren't aware there are already tongues that have cum textures on them, I was just hoping for something a little more realistic looking.

Pretty sure those Tullius' are all Overlays, thus my earlier comments. Converting Predator to overlays... maybe? Not something I've the technical know-how for. really.



Then you'd use OCum to apply it in addition to the normal overlays it does "on cum effect". Edit: took another look at the way it has been built, and he's only applying the .dds of cum to his various Armor meshes, so... doesn't look good for a conversion, either. He's literally built them all to have the shape of drips, then applied liquid_base_d.dds to them... which is kinda special. (Read: wtf are you doing here? Total insanity)

You can probably copy/paste the drips, resize them and then add to an existing HDT tongue in outfit studio and keep the SMP on more thought (HDT do actually have SMP, I'd missed that bit). Open up predator Face SMP, chop off a couple of chin drips (Edit: each drip is three parts (face.01.001-3), so make sure you're taking all parts), open up HALOS tonguelinguaX, position and merge them; you do have an advantage that the base Predator Armor SMP has different length / sized drips so some of the work is already pre-packed for you.. Getting it to look right and doing it for all 10 is an exercise I leave up to a more dedicated modder. This only applies if you want a tongue that always has drips, but you want it conditionally, I guess.

Edit, ok soo... definitive answer. To get what everyone wants, you'd require the following:

1) Properly made overlays
2) and and do a hack job on them (altering conditionals to not combat, but Ostim etc)
3) Give the NPC an overlay that was totally 0% transparent, then apply the 1st of those mods to ramp it up to 100% on 'cum applied' (it has a timer) and the 2nd to add in the SMP drips as particles (which Ostim already does for the cum shot / gushing effects << IMPORTANT) - ideally we'd be making a mash-up of the two for the code we wanted
4) Now your NPC has the same effect but can also use armor with the added bonus you can add a "fade" to the splash as well as full control over the length of time your drips are dripping etc. e.g. once Ostim ended, your NPC would re-clothe with the overlay still applied (for X time, with fade. which is the major reason you don't do any of this as a base armor mesh, btw) and so on.
5) We're doing this outside of Ostim since we want Ostim closed and the game playable while still "enjoying" the aftermath. OCum Ascended is probably already using a lot of the same code, but without the MCM fine tuning or control over which overlays to use.

TL;DR

Tullius knows how to mod. This other guy is on crack - I get the "why" but it's a really terrible way to do it.

You can also play around with the mods I listed and Tullius' overlays to see a moderately ok version of what you could do, given enough dedication. Or poke the OCum Ascended Devs, they're essentially doing the same thing, but a lot lighter / less technical.
