how different is the file on nexus compared to yours?

The main file on nexus is the same, the HS2 race from patreon he shared a Mega folder (what my GDrive has) and a Baidu folder which has the mentioned 30GB stuff, its likely some of it is the same as what is already shared but other stuff hasnt been shared yet, alot might not be of interest but some might be to some people (Some of it will probably need to be translated though).

As far as I know, he is indeed the author, and he decided to make the mod public because the mod encryption was cracked, and he plans to make version 6.0 and change the encryption method.

I'm wondering how you removed the drm. I have several mods with drm, but I'm not at liberty to share them.(otherwise the modder might give me trouble) I have no programming knowledge. Is it possible for me to remove the drm by myself?

The main takeaway is the encrypted BSAs really should only decrypted when the game is being loaded and needs them, the fact the DRM maker is decrypting them before any authentication takes place in the registration app is kind of a fundamental flaw which can defeat the entire DRMs purpose (as I have now shown with HS2TOSKYRIM)

A few hours after I posted it here all his links to the downloads have been deleted and he posted in his discord server, so it looks like he knows

I noticed in the nexus file that his patch is slightly newer (April 16th) compared to the one on your drive (Feb 22th) but not sure how much different it really is. if you can share the Baidu folder I may be able to make some translations since I know Chinese.

just publish HS2 race on nexus. I don't know if he's the creator or not but based on nexus' usual behavior to delete mod that involve other game's asset, anyone with a spare hdd should backup these just in case

Soo, Nexus flagged his file as suspicious because it's two compressed archives, and he left a link to Mega, but there is a limit of 4 GB per day for free downloads... He's so stupid.
He could have just split the archives into different parts. His mod is full of junk that most people don't need, like a huge number of overlays (makeup), eyes, and other stuff. It would be better to separate it so that only those who need it download it, but that's too complicated for him to think about.

Yeah if you are familiar with programming reverse engineering isnt an easy starting point although that Chinese DRM is made in .NET which is really not great for security since tools like dnspy can give you (in theory) source code similar/very accurate to what the devs wrote,

This Chinese DRM has mod authors distribute a license app you have to use authenticate with a key the mod author gives you but the app is just a loader it has another .NET exe encrypted and compressed inside it, which I dumped and opened in dnspy and it was obfuscated and all the strings (text) were encrypted so you couldnt see readable text, I removed the obfuscation and recovered the strings to make it MUCH easier to understand the code to be able to see how the DRM encrypts and decrypts the .bsa files

As said its not an easy place to start though if you dont know how to program to start with

im mostly interested in followers and presets for the HS2 race. i see in your google drive that there are a few of them there, although one of them is password locked. if the baidu folder contains more of those then can I get a torrent. thanks
