Either it's incompatible with something else or there's something wrong with your load order, works fine on my end, and I even uninstalled 2 quest mods mid playthrough and still playing just fine.

Thanks, but unfortunately the nexusmods link is for the follower only. The patreon post has both the follower and player race.
