1st act: it has almost the classic PT's games essence but the whole "cruel, slaver" part was definitely toned down as most of the punishments and H-scenes are "consensual". Despite that though, the 1st part is decent and the art style reminded me of the old games'.
2nd act: I've seen many complaints about the 2nd part of the game and with justified reasons, my biggest gripe with it was the irritating RNG that's involved whilst training the princess, other than that? I enjoyed the extra H-scenes and fancied the improved art after PT had left the AI one as a placeholder. However, I can see why many despised Act II, as the whole "slave trainer" ambiance was kind of replaced by a "raising simulator" (along with the NTR & femdom scenes which, thankfully, were turned optional).
3rd act: the climax of the story, whereupon you beat the main villainess and start training her. Now, whilst this part is satisfying because (as expected) you humiliate and rape Ravora, I thought the 2nd act really had tarnished this game; also, reiterating, there has been something missing from his latest games and that is the whole "fear/love" relationship the girls feel towards you.
In the 1st two games both Erwyn & Selene really hated you if you ill-used them, they were actually afraid of you to the point they cried whilst being raped (ofc, there was also the "consensual" route which is more similar to the one portrayed here). In RoB I felt that element didn't environ Ravora's character, because albeit you can get 3 possible characters from her (the usual ones: broken, masochist & slut), again, I felt the way you broke the girls in the OG games was more satisfying and "believable" per se (IK I'm referring to a porn game, which I downloaded for free mind you...).
Overall, a new experience, a new flair from the developer, but precisely because of that it was a double-edged weapon (in other words, it was like one step forward, especially for those who fancy femdom, alas, it was also two steps backwards, mainly because of Act II). I hope PT has learnt from his shortcomings and that will improve or keep the essence of the same mechanics from the previous games (although, I'm not against trying new stuff to change the formula, just a bit, but I'd rather have him stay faithful to his original vision).
