This game sure as fuck sucks. What kind of idiot makes a game where you can fail missions but can't save before them.
Yeah the game is quite broken and the fact it is only on autosave makes it suck even worse.
Can understand why this game is so unpopular now. Few want to put up with all that crap for a sex game. Should have just created something like this in Renpy to make it a overnight success.There really isn't an organized guide for it just yet - they get a lot of grief for it, and justifiably.
I'll help as much as I can:
At the start of the game you have 2 merchants you should talk to (both fat guys). One stands next to the slaves, and he trades them, the other has a whip you can use to punish.
After you've purchased a slave - you can go to your home - it's a door right behind where you start the game.
From there, you'll see your slaves - and after a quick dialogue (which you can choose how it develops, a bit) you either enter a sex scene or a whipping scene.
In the sex scenes you need to press SPACE in the right timing (ideally when your character is at the back most part of the animation - so not when he's INSIDE of the slave, but rather when he's fully OUT).
The whipping I don't remember which key (it flashes on the screen), but you just click to fill a bar basically - nothing too fancy there atm.
To TRAIN slaves - you need to punish them. Having sex with them will only take up their market value.
I hope that kind of helped you right now
Oh - and there's a temple, where you can modify your slaves for money - it's at the doors right next to the whip guy (if you look at him, it'll be on your right).

What quest have you failed? I believe you cannot fail any quests (one of the quests have branching where you kinda fail one quest but start another)
Experiment on how often do you click to whip. I had that problem on slow computer with low graphic power. it was good enough to run the game but whipping was not working. But everything worked fine on another computer (with good graphic card)

I wish they didnt have to reset the save files with every build. Takes like 30 minutes to do everything up to 0.6 again. Also, it seems like they've made the saves cheatengine proof so I can't mess with the money/reputation anymore, which is annoying starting from scratch again.

Did the dev rework the lighting? I was annoyed by seeing only some parts of the body last time, If it's the same, I'll not waste my time again.

I am really not sure if the devs look at this thread, or if they care what a non-Patreon subscriber thinks, but I really dislike the space bar mechanic in the sex scenes. Like, first off, no one wants to try and jerk it and press space at the same time. I can't be the only person who jerks it to porn games and I'm sure as hell not jerking it while I look for some dumb apple. Second, it is not very intuitive how you even do the space bar. I end up having to stare at my dude's balls just to figure out the goddamn rhythm. If you're going to make these scenes interactive, make it doable with your mouse and not repetitive as fuck.
Finally, this is a me issue, but I use a mechanical keyboard and I hate having to CLACK CLACK CLACK during my fap sessions.
Alright, look, to everyone who thinks this game sucks: it has its flaws but this game has come a long way since it's initial release. People (rightfully) laughed at the Devs for both A) speaking as if they're Romans (but not in Latin) and B) having unrealistic expectations with the amount of money people would pour into a game that was flawed.
If you go through the latest updates on F95, it's all Ren'Py games with some variation on "you're an 18 year old guy with an Oedipus complex!" or "grope your sister a million times until she does anal with you!" or "hey do you like to get cucked???". There is a lack of fantasy related games, and a lack of good graphics Unreal Engine games (Wild Life is the only one I can think of, and the furry content is not my thing). The visuals are good, the sex animations are good, so let's all be patient. Though I'm not ready to commit a lot of money until they get rid of some of the bad mechanics. And the corn in the food stall.

This is spot on. Couldn't agree more. I'd add Fallen Doll to the very short list of great 3D games.
I am sure it is not just me .. but the game is freakishly heavy on the graphics and ... in general on every single component ...
If the devs see this - work on your programming skills and dont render the whole fu**ing town, maybe just the parts we see ... Also these so called low settings dont really remove the heavy fog from the dungeon for example ... dont fix the heavy lightning ... seems like only the already light textures get even lighter, but the really heavy shit does not really get removed or made any lighter in any way ...
People already complained about the space mechanics - approve .. its annoying especially on a laptop .. mine is decent and it overheats and i guess the framerate makes it almost impossible to actually enjoy the scenes from some decent points of view .... i basically gotta find the right spot where i get some acceptable frame rate and be able to see the guy so i can figure out when to press space ... REALLY NOT FUN TO WATCH THE GUYS ASS ALL THE TIME .....
Also it seems like the mechanics are the same and the same until you unlock everything and that kind of makes people bored really quickly ...

I'm quite disagree with previous opinions.
RenPy - yes, I'm kinda bored with "grope mother and sister" games, however there are a lot of good ones that either standing out, or not "grope mother and sister" or both.

Speaking about more graphic heavy games - there is nice game called "Abandoned, A Tale of Forgotten Lives"
Now, regarging Slaves of Rome.
I refuse to call it a game. To me it's still a game setting. If you can play everything the game has to offer within 10-15 mins and 99% of it is:
* running from one location to another
* short dialogs
* boring monotone sex acts
* whip punishment
it's not a game. Yes, everything that is in looks good but it's not a game. I'd say - add 10 or 20 times more - that would be a nice game. have I said "nice". I meant "great"
Oh & regarding graphic - I would not criticize the creator(s) about that. Lack of content is a bigger flaw.
