Unreal Engine - Slaves of Rome [v20.9] [Biggus Dickus Games]

My gripes with the game:
1. There really is nowhere near enough bondage
2. Most of the slaves can't understand your language, which for me is a huge turnoff. It's even worse because they somehow can during sex scenes so it's immersion shattering and a turnoff.
3. UI is horrendous. Quest system looks like garbage.
4. I don't think I could design more repetitive gameplay if I tried.

I really don't get this game, and do not recommend it at all.

Same as other people mentioned, the controls are very clunky. For my character I chose a female, she is so weird when she walks/run it's quite horrible. The worst thing for me btw is that you can't even change the slave's body without paying. It's a pretty basic feature to be behind a pay wall. They could release story parts, more models, more clothing behind a pay wall like DLCs but not basic features.

Awful. Just awful. Awful UI, awful controls, awful story. I think it would be challenging to find worse voice-acting than in this game. On top of it, the constant begging for money from the dev.

I'd like to call this a glorified walking simulator, but it can't even get that correct. Unless it was intended as a bizzare cyberpunk/ancient rome crossover, in which case this is a brilliant simulator of walking down beggars row, with the incessant pleas for more money breaking through your presumed protagonist's bargain bin ROME-X AR overlay.

Clipping errors, blocky graphics, janky physics (especially if you play FemProtag like I do). Actually, I was disappointed by the lackluster girl/girl content, overall.

The truly bizzare aspects of this game is that this 'studio' has somehow garnered support in the order of $7,000 USD per month (at the time of this review), and that THIS is what they have to show for it.

This is a five year old game that simply has no excuse for being this fucking bad. One star because I can't give it zero.

Another shitfest game from more beggar devs.
Immersion is broken immediately by patreon 100+ slaves in game.
You are immersed again out of the game by your slave demanding patreon sub in game.
No fuck this shit, this is the part where it is supposed to game, not play begging and milking users in game.
Fucking ridiculous, deleted forever, and blacklisted any other releases from this retarded studio.

Kudos to whoever paid for this and uploaded it here, but this is a terrible game, even for a WIP project. The controls are very stiff, the models look out of place considering the setting is in Rome (and frankly, quite ugly for UE standards,) and the missions themselves are very buggy (be prepared to force quit a few times.)
If you're into slave training role-play, something like Soldgirl Town might be your cup of tea; for those interested in an ancient civilisation game setting, Patronus is the closest one I can think of.

I gave it a much higher review a few years ago because it was looking like it was getting better.
No clue what happened along the way but it ended up getting much worse.

Every character looks less human than they used to be, especially the protagonists and the first few slaves like julia and olivia. The hair kind of just stacks on top of their head like trying to fit megablocks hair on a lego figure and the clothes are not attached to their bodies at all, either clipping through the body or floating on top of it.

The core gameplay is sex and punishments. Anyone who thinks the missions are important is actually just mentally broken, the missions are just sex and punishments except with walking.

The sex is the same as 2 years ago with maybe 2-3 new positions and are still as janky as it used to be with a female protagonist.
The punishments actually added new positions and toys but NONE of them are usable anymore. In first person, you can't use any implement because you don't have enough freedom with the camera and the implement is stuck in the middle of the screen so you can't ever hit anything with them. In third person, none of the positions other than onallfours because where the implement is in terms of height can't be changed so you can't reach the slave in any other positions. A new addition is you can now move around in third person but the movement controls are like trying to play the original resident evil using voice commands.

Somehow, after 5 years of work, the game became less playable than the first few demos we got.

There was a lot of potential. Kind of disappointing but also pretty expected

Good lord what a POS. At first I thought ehh, just give it a chance. But then the more paywalled content I ran into just could not help but anger me more. You get quests. Great! Good luck figuring out where the destination is for them. Its a tiny ass map and yet I found none of the destinations given for quests. Not even for the homosexual seeking his golden dildo and he was standing directly in front of the temple he claims he lost it in. No dildo to be found. Took me an hour to find my own actual home as it is not marked on the mini map either. Then I had to find out where my sluts, err, slaves were kept. Again not really marked but it had a sign above a door reading dungeon. That is despite when I bought them I was told they were sent to my home. Prices are high for purchase and your slaves are barely making you anything back. All slave actions involve mini games. Figured out the fucking but not the punishment one. Instructions could be much clearer and as I said quests need a mini map marker.

All I can say is it is a good concept that has entirely missed the mark. A sandbox with nothing to do, quite possibly the ugliest unreal engine game I can think of and it runs like crap to boot. Save your time and effort, there are better options out there.

game is not bad, suggestions are to open the pleasure house for slaves to earn more revenue, clothing customizations for slaves and masters, more facial customizations - body customizations are excellent, increase brightness for dungeon, breast milking slave

Very buggy, not fun and an almost non existent story. My main complaint is the way the dev charges for this "game".....15 dollars for the latest version (each time). The dev does this to force people to buy the 100 dollar permanent tier.
Ridiculous...this dev can learn alot from devs like Tessadist etc.

I tried to get excited about this game and looked at all the positives, but as an adult sex game it is lacking. I dropped it many weeks ago and tried to pick it up again today, and it's the same thing. I don't know where to go or what to do. I'm supposed to locate a virgin girl. You know this entire village or city is pretty big. I could look for hours and not find her. One of the comments say that she is behind someone down an alley. That doesn't tell me much. There is also this house that is guarded. It says that I have to deal with the guards, but it didn't give any hints on how. The sex scenes aren't exciting. This game is basically a quest game. You get a lot of quests, many of which require you to guess and explore until you figure it out. And that's it. If I want to have sex, for example, I can do it with my slave girl or another girl I gave food and clothes too. But the sex scenes aren't very good. You can adjust speed and force and then cum when you want. But it's just the same two second thrusting animation on repeat. The females could be more life like and look around and change positions slightly or something. But like with the slave girl, she just has a stupid scary grin on her face as you plow her missionary the same way for however long until you want to click the cum button. Train slaves? Make their tits smaller or bigger? Quests? It's okay if you are super bored and don't want to play Steam games, I guess. There are also a lot of bugs, but I won't get into them now because I'm tired of submitting bugs. If I report bugs, it should be for games that I actually like. I'm not saying that I hate this game. I just don't see a reason to play it. Let's see. Some other things. Some of the dialogue is okay. But a lot of is horrible and makes me want to cringe. There is a lot of robotic voice acting. And no effort to make each character's robot voice slightly different from another. The sun goes up and down too fast. One day is like 30 seconds (exaggerating for effect). Don't bother saving and loading saves. Auto saves overwrite any saves that you make and loading saves is a long agonizing experience. Good effort made to "make a game". But as far as adult games go, very mediocre. Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that I think the slave girl's nipples and areolas are painted on. Just textures.

Its okay so far. Theres content for all gender preferences which is always great to see. Character customization is weirdly limited especially for the males (not unusual). Slaves have more customization esepcially for there bodies which is nice but you need to spend in game currency for it. I think the money system could use a rework it seems kind of grindy. I love the concept of the brothel, and they guy it comes with , but it doesn't seem very functional at the moment. Additionally the slaves in the acution never seem to change which is very odd as theres only like 6. Definitely needs a lot more work especially if they plan to actually sell it but it looks somewhat promising for now.

Everything is off about this game... The npcs talking like robots, the atrocious sex scenes, the obnoxious moaning sounds, the ridiculous anal penetration. The only thing that was "acceptable" was the intro cutscene (even if it freezes like sht). Big turn off for me. I can see the potential in Slaves of Rome but they have to work extremely hard and stop being minimalists. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this current state. Asking money for this game is an insult to porn game enthusiasts and porn game masterpieces. If you want to play a quality roaming type game play ai-shoujo. This was tested the 2022-01-27

This is the game I'd joined Patreon for at the $25.00 level, I couldn't even get the game to load and their support was nonexistent . And of course there was no refund, to them that was funny, so I wouldn't recommend this game.

I ran it in UHD OK except for the mottled textures. I never could figure out the timed pain mechanic for the runaway slave quest. It needs a guide for several of the quests to complete them. The game is just a mess.

Extremely buggy mess. To the point where I wasn't even getting money from the "quests" on the public board. Repetitive. Decent models...but animations are not. The concept isn't terrible for a porn game but so far the execution absolutely is. This is imo a very raw alpha. If it indeed isn't an alpha but something that has already been worked on for a good while then....ugh...oh boy. There is SOME potential here but needs TONS of work.

Try this game for first time.. from the look of the thread.. it seems like the game already been develop for at least 3 years and yet it look like it was still at alpha stage.

Keep getting the patreon shove right up my face isn't fun. The cost of most slave vs quest reward doesn't seems reasonable in first place. Skill point seems to be grindy as hell as well.

Quest log is also lacking as mention by other reviewer, it definitely need improvement.

The dungeon lighting and camera pov seems to be poor as well, there need to be option to have sex at place with better lighting... the list is on and on, but i would just leave it here.. this should be more than suffice...

Simply amazing, appeals to the dom in me. If you are like the majority on this site who prefer to be subs, or dislike taking a dominant role, this game is not for you. Lacking in story but there is hope, servese as a good demo of what a full-featured adult game could include.
