So to confirm, though the first game was marked as Abandoned here, it's more like completed, and this one continues where the other left off?

It continues from where the other one left off (First Drip and Second Drip being all-inclusive in this game together) from my understanding after looking at their store pages and comments from folks and the dev over there. Looks like people are looking for the possibility of a Third Drip (though there's little activity on their Patreon since January). Most of the comments I've read seem positive on Itchio.

This game's more like an actual VN. It's a whole lot of nothing for a while, so if you enjoy the slow burn with some nice regular art, this one's for you. For me, on the other hand, even working around the anti-skip by running auto on its fastest speed, the scenes aren't coming fast enough. The game's well put together, just not super easy to fap to.

Gotta say, I find the face design to be a bit peculiar for a vanilla type game. Still, overall art and body design is great, so definitely willing to try it.

To be fair, not all R-18 games need to front-load you with fap material. There's R-18 games here that are simply solid game experiences (mostly story-heavy VNs) and the R-18 scenes are more of the cherry on top. Obviously those don't work well for people looking for a quick fap, but for those that enjoy games/stories with more sexualized themes.

Of course, for those games to work, the story has to be well put together (haven't played this game yet so I wouldn't know).

Well this was phenomenal. Art is gorgeous of course. The writing and world building is also very very good. Interesting stuff. Want more.

I did, admittedly, find the personalities of the girls a bit overwhelming and tropey at first introduction. But it was mostly just a matter of first impressions rather than that being the whole picture.
