So I made the switch from uploading regular Youtube videos for nerds, to uploading hentai for nerds. The whole process has dumbfounded me to the point of tears and psychotic laughter, so I think it'd be fun to talk about it, and hear from others about their leaps of faith into the porn world.

Uploading Tifa with an ugly bastard on the internet is basically the porn equivalent of giving the internet more DBZ fan fiction, but I follow my dick like Airbud to his family, and my dick thinks Tifa, Lara, and Yennefer are family. So I was not expecting 10s of thousands of views when I offered up my fan fiction to rule34video... That shit had me laughing like a damn maniac. I've been writing for decades, making videos for years, and now that I am finally getting over hundreds of views, it's 10s of thousands in porn. After the laughter died off, the perspective became overwhelming, I would always be so much smaller as a legit creator. I knew I was small, now I really knew.

, and it's out-performing all 10 parts. I battled with some immature thoughts finding that out. It's incredibly stupid to harbor frustration for people who like the 'wrong' video, but I stupidly did. The low effort video could be a better porn than my high effort video, and I need to accept that with more maturity.

I tried uploading videos to XVideos, which has a rigorous process for creators to prove they are themselves. In my case, I had to prove I was actually a 3D animator, and not just some dumb mother fucker using the hentai version of Spiderman Cartoon Maker. I had to animate my own simple piston animation in a live recording, and only then would they give me approval. Once I got approval, they're like, "No rape!" and lo, I am fucked. My princess is in another castle. I see other videos getting around the rape tag with blackmail, but I just don't want to risk it when they have my whole-ass government name on record.

The closest thing I've got to a legit critique is, "What's up with all the ringtone music in the background?" Which is fair, I use music from PS1-2 era. Castlevania/Bully music isn't the highest fidelity, and I do not have enough skill points in audio mixing, but with time and skill points, this will change. It'd be nice to get the same level of critique I got for other writing, but realistically, that is a very hard thing to find in porn, and I'm going to have to be patient.

As far as I can see we have the same vices.
I don't think there will ever be enough content with Tifa on the internet.
But it's complicated because there's already a lot of quality content, so it's hard to reach the same level.

In my case, I'm making a game to improve my knowledge of Unreal Engine and I've chosen to make a FFVII parody to stay motivated in the long term since this is one of my favorite game.
I'm having fun, but it's very time-consuming and I know that what I'm doing will only appeal to a tiny proportion of people, and that's fine.

Anyway, I don't know if you've tried other software like Blender, DAZ or VAM? They all have models of Tifa (and a lot of other characters) and you can produce scenes. VAM is more for the consumer (if you want to make your own scenes, especially if you have a vr headset, there's nothing out there to match it at the moment) but you can also record them as videos, as some do.

The other two are more advanced and allow you to produce better quality content than VAM (for many reasons, but notably because you can render, not just real-time).

You're right about the quality disparity, I feel hopeless when it comes to catching up in certain categories. I feel a lot more comfortable when I weigh my homebrew creations as a whole. I have heaps of respect for anyone willing to fully animate scenes, but I have a gay ol' time making my creations. The story goes a long way to motivate me, and doing posing and lighting is very generally fun. Sound... not so much

I have tried Blender, but I couldn't get the hang of it, and I couldn't change Tifa's appearance. I also already had some skill points devoted to Unity, so I just stayed the course with Unity. (Honey Select StudioNEOv2 = Unity, I am 80% sure!) - VR headsets give me a headache, but that level of customization is tempting. I am very satisfied with the animation ceiling with what I use, but I would love something like Blender that has many more background scenes to choose from. Unreal Engine does seem like the all-round best choice right now, so best of luck there. Thanks for replying - it helped me settle some starting out nerves.

Appreciate the suggestion, it seems like it was once the wild wild west, but they have now have a light verification process involving an E-mail and a few day wait. They haven't asked for my driver's license, or a picture of my birthmark, yet.
