So many bad games

Game fatigue. When you discovered porn games, everything was new, the possibilities seemed endless and exciting. Now you've seen it all, the tropes, the handful of archetypes everyone copies, the dev cycles, cynicism sets in. Happens to all of us. You just live for that next game that has a little novelty, that caters to some specific kink, that has that little something that makes you excited.

Exactly.
Corrupting your own family, by example, seem a good idea and amazing game... until it's the hundredth time that you are offered to do it. And like most stories rely mostly, when not only, on clichés, after some time there's no surprise ; "Oh ! The mid sister hate MC... I guess she's deeply in love with him since her 13 birthday and will be the most submissive slut once MC will understand that".

Yes. And I don't think it's because the games are unoriginal in their plots.
I'd be very happy to see another princess/witch trainer or summertime saga or pyorgara game anyday of the week and I don't care if the formula stays the same. In fact I think 9/10 developers who try to be unique for the sake of being unique are hurting their own chances at making a succesful game.

Being original is not the reason you don't see more of these games... It is just a lot harder to make them.

Most games are being made by complete amauters and anything more complex that an image slideshow with choices increases the ammount skill required exponentially.

It‘s not about reusing the same ideas and tropes that make new games bad. In fact we all love predictability and the tropes that come into play. Otherwise, why are there billion romance books written for women which use the same story arc and they are still a gigantic market?

Its all about how it’s executed, and anyone who’s tried to develop a game knows how much of a mountain of work it is to create everything, and bring it together successfully.

I think especially for 2D games you need a person with a creative spark and longtime vision and motivation that keeps driving the project. And then it needs to be playable, enjoyable and coherent.

And after all that you still get people complaining why this new game isn’t a fully open world sandbox with consequences.

Hello. Is it just me, or have there been too few good games in the last few years? This is especially true for games in 2d style.
The problem; demand dictates the availability for everyone.

I'm tired of seeing BAD games. I still don't understand why they don't drop this stupid idea of games and embrace the sandbox realm. Instant action, easy.

...but no.. we still have to lose to watch the sex scene. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
