So, why the hate on NTR?

I can imagine it might be cause for strife in the family, perhaps not directed at the children, though.
And here again, why that "perhaps not"? In what world, except one where you would fake your love for them, the strife caused by the fact to not be their biological father could possibly fallback on the children?

Aren't like 25% to 33% of married men raising kids that they think are theirs but aren't? That combination of believing the kid is yours but it isn't is what makes all the difference here.
Damn, if you don't know anything about the topic and haven't checked your numbers, you should just delete your comment because it's ridiculous, embarrassing, and makes men feel insecure. Unless you live in a war zone or in a developing country in the Third World, in which case you will receive the blessing. cheers

If a person doesn't self-insert, their feelings aren't played with.

The Nintendo Mario games must really suck for those who self-insert.

The fact that you can say that only shows that you don't understand ntr at all. the authors of ntr games deliberately force plots that the player is forced to bring in. Like starting to masquerade as a normal romance game. I can't believe you do anything without bringing in your own feelings.

I understand the genre. I understand how it is presented. I understand the process. As an educator of creative writing, I get it. As writers we control the world we create. As readers we control how involved we choose to get. The fact that I can say that shows I can separate myself from the characters I read in a story. I don't see myself as Harry Potter or Hamlet or Juliet or Harriet. I sympathize with the characters, I do not self-insert. As readers/players we make those choices.

Players who self-insert choose to do so. If you choose to self-insert and netorare harms your senses, don't play netorare. If you choose to self-insert and enjoy netorare, have fun.

Also, nice jump from "not self-inserting" into a game to "doing anything without bringing in your own feelings." Two totally different things. People can completely get invested with storylines without self-inserting. Again, readers/players make that choice. If you know how that choice affects you as a player, then the advice is to choose wisely. But don't play the victim card when it is something chosen by you.

If you are choosing not in self-insert as Nintendo's Mario whose LI is being stolen from him over and over and over... then choose not to self-insert as some character that is being cheated upon.

This seems wild and high, but I'm glad it was fixed later. :coffee:

This statement just opens this entire thread to a debate that's gone on too many times to count. I could follow up with the statement that cheating is not NTR unless the person puts up with it to some degree. If one immediately ends relationship then it is not NTR, it is just cheating and the consequences.

Edit: Imagine that scene in your favorite ntr game, the reveal that the LI is trying to cuck the MC and the MC just...leaves. "Later bitch."
This thread is cucking the other threads about NTR.

I didn't know there would be so many of these about NTR. :ROFLMAO:

Everyone keeps trying to tell me that I'm the crazy one for not liking a story about the thing I love being destroyed. So rather than try to explain myself again I'm going to turn the question around: what do YOU guys love about NTR so much?? Until someone makes a persuasive argument to me as to why I should play a game themed around it, I'm going to keep on saying that it sucks.

You're approaching it wrong. No one cares what you like or don't like and you should approach it the same way, who cares what Chad on the message forum thinks about how you enjoy or don't enjoy games. The thing about forums is that it's a place for people to debate this kind of thing, the problem with the forums is that quite a few people can't keep their emotions in their pants.

There are multiple people in this thread or in other threads who talk about what they like about NTR, but it's meaningless for you. It's a preference; no one cares about what you like, and no one is actually putting a gun against your head to play the games they like. But going on about complaining about the tag you hate is just drama seeking while it's waste of time for others who like NTR, neutrals or mods who have to look after people bitching about all the time. It's not rocket science. I don't know why do you guys need to prove you're the correct connoisseurs of consuming Porn.

reality check: no one said that's why you're crazy. not everyone loves ntr just because they dont hate it with a vengeance like you do. no one cares what you play. no one objects to you thinking it sucks.

you're 0/4 in touch with reality

if you keep your ntr hate to yourself, no one fucking cares. the problem is ntr haters who have to tell the world every time they see something that triggers their insecure egos, or worse engages in ntr hate, harassing devs and shit like that.
