Sorry if it's a silly question but i couldn't find anywhere and is never too much to be safe.
Anyways i'm developing a game on ren'py and i really liked some codes i found on the internet. I know that renpy is free for comercial use but does the codes (example changing the main menu) have copyrights aswell? i saw tutorials and wanted to just do it tha same way they do. Is it illegal to copy a code from someone else? do i need their permission? do codes have copyright? can someone just download my game and change the assets using the code and is legal?
