The game starts with kind of a character creation you can choose what type of a person you are there were 3 options i think it was like intelligent smooth talker and brawny/strong type
You basically wake up in the middle of the night you hear screams you go downstairs to find a dead body in the bathtub
Then you wake up you have a roommate i forgot her name you are working as a part time detective you can go to different places like cafe supermarket.. The first case you get is that stuff is disappearing in the supermarket.
There is basically super powers caused by a storm or something like that and that same storm made your parents disappear.
