[Solved] No animation in ren'py VNs

Hello, i am not a programmer but i don't know where else to ask.

None of VN in Ren'py i try plays videos/animations. They all just freeze for a second and then skip the video.

Any idea what might be the problem?

possibly a codec issue, are you able to view the videos that should be playing outside of the game?

Hey. Yes If i try to run the video from file it play with no problem.

hmm, what platform? any game in specific I could look through for a possible cause?

I figured out the problem. Had to make a compatibility check and select different windows settings. Sorry to have bothered you and ty for help.

Right click on game/program > Properties > Compatibility. Could be wrong though. Could also try

Hello, yes this is what i did. When you get to the compatibility screen select: Run this program in compatibility mode, and select Windows XP ( service pack 2 ).
