Someone should remake "A dance With Rogues" in Ren'Py and become a very wealthy guy

If you have skills with 2d or 3d artwork and you just can't come up with a great story AND you just happen to find this post... boy, do I have a great idea for you. Free of charge.

A Dance With Rogues is a NSFW mod for Neverwinter Nights. It was the most popular player made module and there were many good ones.

The female protagonist is a princess that loses everything including her virginity when her father's castle gets invaded and she starts working for a group of people that save and hide her hoping to sell her to a distant relative or to someone that wants to marry royalty. They decide to make her clean the kitchen of the restaurant they run in the meantime.

Months later she is finally allowed to explore the city which leads to many well written sexual shenanigans. The former princes can have romantic relationships, be molested, try to use her good looks and her body to get certain stuff etc. It's a level above even the best female protagonist+corruption games on this site, but it doesn't have any art. When something sexual happens the game basically turns to a black screen and all you can do is read the text.

I hope somone decides to go for it. Writing is imo the hardest thing to do well especially after the first few opening hours and this game absolutely nails it.

Thieves have very unique kit in D&D, yet their abilites rarely used in videogames outside of trap removal and chest opening, because they just don't fit in your ordinary party gameplay. So having a module build around various thief skills was very nice and entertaining. Making a lame VN out of ADWR is blasphemy. If someone wants to remake it, make a mod for some other more modern D&D based game or it doesn't count.

I feel like there are more than enough people who would love to have a simplified ADWR with hot graphics and animations. These games get the most attention and money.

ADWD and other similar RPGs have their audience, but even among SFW games they are nowhere near as popular as Skyrim, The Witcher, Mass Effect etc.

I know that it's cool to complain about everything big companies do, but Skyrim is a masterpiece and a platform for user created content that hundreds or even thousands on new players are just discovering for the first time on a daily basis. They should play the best version possible of that game.

I explicitly said that this is an idea only for people who want to make a game but can't think of a story. It's not that easy. Most people who visit this site either have jobs or are kids and they can't even profit from patreon.

You just don't get it. Big successful companies do things that make sense. Rereleasing Skyrim (a game that many consider to be a masterpiece) will generate infinitely more profit than a remake of a 20-year-old game.

BTW I would love a remake of Morrowind and I am very happy to hear that CDPR will remake the Witcher 1, but these projects will probably not set the world on fire compared to ES6 and Witcher 4.

The NSFW part is widely considered to be the weakest part of the mod (which is a pretty mainstream mod, all things considered). You have no idea what you're talking about.

People do not talk about porn on the neverwinter night forums or wherever this mod gets discussed often as freely as they do here. Also, of course the nsfw is part is considered to be the weakest part. The scenes are covered by darkness.
