Are you using Windows?
If not, that's the reason - this is a Windows registry file.
If you are, is the game actually installed on the machine, or are you playing it from an external stick/drive? If the latter, it really needs to be installed on the PC.
If it's Windows AND installed locally, then I've no idea, sorry.

He's completely lost the plot. People were of course wrong to think any of this was AI generated, but that's just an indictment of the way he's totally screwed up his art style over the years. If you've ever watched his live-streams you'll see that he spends way too much time on the details and completely neglects the overall composition.

The inclusion of batgirl in this update gives us a nice way to compare the different eras of SU. Just look at these three images. The first two look like a completely different character than the last. The most recent has inconsistent proportions, a lack of continuity from the lower torso to the upper, overly defined musculature. Early batgirl looked like a gymnast, new batgirl looks like a composite of generic hardbody pieces with batgirls face and costume pasted on top.

To think when I was a paton I suggested the idea that he should move from Lex and move the story to Darkseid enslaving and breaking powerwomen, thinking that that might actually happen. That was like 7 years ago.

A while back Sunset did a survey about what bodies do the patreons like: tall, short, big, medium and/or small boobs, asses, waist, muscular, not muscular, fit but not too muscular... etc.

And I don't know what was the result.
But for me a strengh of this game is the diversity in women's bodies and losing that is renouncing to a main pillar of it.

I see lots of complaints about the art and while there are some differences indeed, for me that's secondary because I think the art is still good.

I suppose everyone has different priorities when it comes to the game, but my main complaint has been the same since more than 2 years ago. If anything, I feel it's even more relevant now.

For me the problem is the sheer number of characters and almost complete lack of plot advancement...
  • The first keeps getting worse. 2 years ago, you could argue there were maybe too many characters. Today it's almost hard to keep track and remember which ladies are even in the game...

  • The second keeps showing little progress, if any. Yes there are some storylines added, like Themiscyra, but they are almost standalone events. I'd love for the devs to do something to either interconnect these storylines or just show some impact for Lex's actions. We capture more and more ladies, fuck them and then forget about them. How about someone finds out Lex's plot? How about Lex uses his corrupted ladies to achieve some goal? Like anything... I'm the opposite of the guy who likes too much story in his porn, but this is the opposite extreme...
Anyhow, just wanted to get this off my chest :p

One of the main issues I take is still the ongoing problems with the vault scenes...take for example Terra's naked sex scene in her BG private room still shows her on with clothes, some of the girls in Gotham event sex + anal are locked, yacht sex scenes are also locked for a few girls too every update even though I've done it many times over and over and it still remains the same. I'm just wondering if he ports the game to RenPy like how others have attempted it would be much better and consistent, if we're not talking about art or story wise.

Have you ever made AI art yourself? I have, and I'm telling you the way he puts his assets together is just incompatible with the way current models work.

Yes, there are a few LORAs trained on sunsetriders artstyle (

) but they're not particularly great. Honestly they mostly look like shit. I also sincerely doubt he's training his own LORAs, it's not easy and he's just not that technically savvy.

Importantly, though, is the fact that sunset makes heavy use of layers to organize poses and costumes. Modern image generation AI doesn't work this way. It generates whole images. You can "inpaint" which means to choose a section of the image and have it regenerated with a different prompt, but that's not going to be on a separate layer.

When you extract the assets from the game you'll see what I'm talking about. He exports layers from his composition and recomposes them in the game. This is what the asset files actually look like. AI doesn't generate layers that you can export individually. assets Large.jpeg
