Have you tried to translate this game somehow? What version of the game you playing?
You say "higher quality translation." Where are you getting a translation in the first place?

the free version only gives bing translation. which is good enough for most games, but this one the text is a big part of the scenes.
and pro tip, if you want to cheat the gallery, go to map, teleport to recollection room, then down the list of the left side, you can left click one of the events in the mtool and select the switch on the right side to open the event. other games you can toggle it in the var tab. its pretty self explanatory.
