Quirky, fun and worthwhile.
So I'll start with pros:
The world is interesting, I enjoyed the kinda of underlying vibe that the organisation you're going to work for are probably evil tyrants and whatnot, and I hope/presume by the end you'll have had a way to make some kind of impact in that.
Also what with his fantasies/powers then they're able to throw in a ton of those stuff like demons and whatnot that you'd not normally expect in a sci-fi setting.
The writing was solid, I enjoyed the dialogue throughout and never felt like I wanted to start skipping text... I think the humour might be a bit hit and miss with some people but after playing a ton of lifeless games I was up for it and had fun.
The renders and everything are great, no complaints there.
The music was good and sometimes really added to the humour and things, though I do wonder if the dev might get into trouble due to some of it as I can't imagine they actually licensed some of those songs (but maybe there are ways around that or something, I don't know).
Given the diverse roster of characters then there'd be stuff for everyone, I found some of the aliens a bit much for my taste (though for completionist sake tended to bone them anyhoo just so I didn't get a fail message that'd make me feel bad) ... weirdly I think the most attractive one was just some random purple haired girl in a locker room, hopefully we'll actually get to dick her down and emasculate her boyfriend in the future rather than just see in in our/their heads (the unlocking of 'bull' content makes me hopeful but more on that later).
Mechanically it was kind of interesting with the way it dealt with unlocking kinks and kinda setting your preferences, and it did make it feel a bit fresher than your average game, though I've got some mild concerns I'll drop in later on.
The game was remarkably well polished ... even little things like at one point to get around the incest thing you have to say what relation the girl you call "cis" is to you ... obviously I played along and wrote sister ... but I noticed she automatically called me her brother (which makes sense, but it didn't force me to write that in like other games do) ... so being the troublemaker I am I went back and typed in some other stuff to see if she'd just say brother regardless ... and if you use obvious things like aunt, cousin, friend it automatically sorts it out and if you write something else it'll ask you for the inverse ... a real little thing but I was impressed (even if it missed him calling her Sis occasionally) ... if I do a fresh playthrough when the game is a completed release I might just make her my daughter even though that makes no sense as she's older, just for a laugh.
Oh and I am real annoyed when games kinda force you to use a walkthrough, but here there was handy sounds, a walkthrough in game if you were curious about paths untraveled and points flashing up on the screen to show when you gained or lost them with people - and I appreciate that.
So some cons (or at least concerns)...
Banana dick.
An MC who's as thick as a boars hide that's been lying out all summer - or whatever folksy thing he'd say.
The kinks enable/disable thing not really being that. So I disabled femdom (for example) ... then later in a scene to keep my relation with a different character I had to let the MC be femdomed (or however you'd say it), which then unlocked that content (despite me disabling it earlier), then later still I managed to make a choice which then re-locked it ... so I think it just needs to be worded differently, you're not really disabling content (like even with turning off dude related stuff there still was the pink text, which is a nice handy touch to know that'll lead to boylove, and I presume I coulda fucked that hairdresser guy) ... it just needs to say that it's what your character is currently inclined towards rather than content being disabled/unlocked.
Another concern is if the mechanics will really matter, like I liked unlocking stuff like wildman, utter bastard, and peril content ... but I wonder if there'll be enough stuff in the future that really serve those, or if it was just something to flash up on the screen at the time ... likewise the faith, obedience and tribalism stats - I would hope they'd end up being fairly significant later, but with all of these different mechanics I'm concerned if they'll ultimately not feel impactful (like just changing one thing here or there).
But don't read too much into those cons bit, it's an easy 5 and made my list of games I'd recommend, I want to see more of the smut, I want to see more of the story and world, I want to join the 8th branch (I presume that'll be something to do with his psychic powers)... so yes...
I would like to see more.
