RPGM - Star Knightess Aura [v0.42.3] [aura-dev]

After nearly ten hours of grinding, I have seen one sex scene. I have just reached the money domain where I've just basically found out that I need to gamble all my stats away on story decisions. I would advise anyone without brain damage to stay away from this cancer inducing nonsense.

Despite having some interesting mechanics, and a promising central gameplay loop, it basically fails on all levels. It fails as an eroge, having few sex scenes and literally hours of gameplay between each. It fails as an RPG since the mechanics are, frankly, frustrating as fuck. You are required to grind and yet you are punished for grinding.

"But it has a new game plus mechanic!?!?!"

I don't fucking care. I've wasted ten hours on this nonsense. And, by my reckoning, that's about nine hours too many.

Pass. Fucking hard pass.

I played v0.33.0 a while back.

This is a fun game with lots of content. It gets pretty dark at times, but the protagonist's determination takes the edge off. The art is solid, and gameplay isn't boring. I'm eager to see how it progresses.

I'm all for slow corruption games, but i would expect a little more than 12 lewdness for 4h30 of game. It's slow but not realy in a good way, it actually drag on quite heavily.

The story, combats and mechanics are good though

Real game for real guys. It is really ez to corrupt but really hard to pure. If u want authentic, original and real story, u should try. If u want to just fap there is others ton of games for u not this one.

Very dialogue heavy, which sometimes takes me out of a scene. But generally solid as jrpgs go. And the corruption is done as a slow but meaningful burn.

If I had a complaint I wish you could opt out of certain corrupting aspects like bullying.

Slow in this case being the understatement of the year.
The game tries so hard to compete as an actual RPG, it forgets the platform it was uploaded to.
Consider the preview pics as A+ bait.
You'll end up sitting through this bs for hours just to see a kiss scene.

First of all, you should know that although the game is full of H-tags, first of all it is a Game, and then everything else... So if you came for fap material, then you will be disappointed.
But I was looking for the Game , so I'm satisfied.
Although, I played only a third and decided to postpone until the release. The game, though long, is linear and plot-oriented, so playing now will reduces the pleasure of playing the full game in release.
Anyway, great plot and dialogues. Suitable music and Umenico vibe. The only thing I would like to see is more sprites of minor characters... and CG without lewd or h

Good RPG, not great H game.

It just asks too much of you in my opinion, regarding fetch quests, extremely long strings of dialogue, lots of grinding and tough, occasionally lengthy boss fights - the slow corruption aspect is compelling but it's just an insane crawl to get there.

As far as rarity goes in an overall sense (gameplay/combat/story/script-writing), this would be at the very top.

I was looking for a game to wank, instead got addicted in playing the game and having lots of fun.

As for the lewds, in comparison with it's other aspects mentioned above, by far it would be the weakest of them all. (no animation and art scenes not hot enough imo)

Lets start with graphics: up to standard compared to similar works.

H-content: sparse not a good fap material

Lets give this rating an update outside the above.
First of all it finally deserves 4x due to deepening the corruption story line. To be honest the content too long and h-content is too sparse for a h-game, that and the idea of playing against yourself prevents 5x rating.

To anyone wondering whether they should hop into this game: "Not yet".

It's closer to a text based RPG than an actual H-game, but thats because the story was fleshed out first without CGs. As they update the game, they trickle in CGs for previous events. While this is fine, that means you could play for literal hours without seeing any nudity.

I think when the full game comes out, it'll be really good. However, until then it feels like an extremely long grindfest with very little payoff. If you have hours (and I do mean, hours) of time to kill and like extremely slowburn text corruption, you'll enjoy this. If not? Then I'd say to wait for the full release as the current pacing of the game feels extremely sluggish for the content you recieve.

Loved the game , so far development seems very good and decent level of dedication by dev. Can't wait fo full release , i just wish it had animations , it'd be iciing on the cake

One of the few RPGM maker games that justify it being a game, and not an interactive slideshow. Roya is a harsh world and you'll actually have to use your brain to explore and survive. The Atlus inspirations are blatantly clear from the combat to the time-management to the dual real and fantasy world narratives, complete with a pseudo-awakening in the eleventh hour of exploring the first major boss's palace --er, realm. Thought was evidently put into the decision making moment to moment gameplay. That being said, it's often quite difficult to ascertain whether you're ready for an area without prior knowledge, which can lead to some annoying save scums as you enter, and then get immediately blasted by the boss way harder than you (the deep forest is a good example of this). Signposting where exactly is safe for you through dialogue or allowing running away from more fights would be good ideas I think. The game, like the early iterations of SMT it draws inspiration from, is unforgiving if you dawdle, and the pressure to play optimally, especially for all the pink scenes, is a bit too much, I think.

The game is hard as balls without prior knowledge, even if you're familiar with the genre, and most of this comes not from the boss battles, but from knowing what you can do, where you can go safely, and where you can not. Coupled with the fact that a lot of things in this game are timed or limited, I feel that there's a lot of potential for new players to make decisions that could make the playthrough much much harder for them without even realizing it (not investing in the Slime for example will likely make or break playthroughs, but its importance is really never mentioned). The NG+ feature somewhat alleviates this, but again, the game is so long that it feels like a gorilla patch rather than a real fix.

The story is serviceable, it's engaging enough to the point where you do wonder about the mysteries and what will happen in the end, but not anymore than that.

The sex scenarios are good too, if not static; even in this stage of development there's quite a few of them. This game is indeed a heavy slow burn. I imagine the sex scenes from here on out in the late game will only get sluttier and sluttier (who plays corruption games to make the MC pure?), so make of that what you will.

Anyway, if you like corruption games that are fun to play, you should definitely play this game. Just pick Easy on your first playthrough if you want to optimize. If you don't like waiting ten to fifteen hours to see penetrative scenes, don't like hard games, or only play complete games, you should probably skip this one.

i had to suspend disbelief hard cause mc just dont realise that the drastic changes in hersrelf are connected to being possessed - its explained as effect of the curse
tip: corruption is easy to get and hard to spend also holy water price skyrocket with time

I find this one hard to review. One one hand, it's no doubt one of the better games on the site. The problem is, there is very little lewd content in the game currently and most of it is hard to find.

The premise of the game is amazing and exactly what I'm looking for. I love slow-corruption female protag games. But this game was not worth the time I put into it unfortunately.

Let me say this, I played the game for 20 hours without a guide and progressed to the end of the current content. I think I saw a total of 7 or 8 lewd scenes the whole time. One flashing scene, one getting her butt felt up, 2 or 3 with other characters, one handjob and that's it. No blowjobs, no sex at all.

There are more lewd scenes in the game, but you would need to follow a guide to find them all. Which I'm not a big fan of doing.

The dialogue is well written, the gameplay is good, the problem is.... I thought this was a lewd game and I got very little lewd action. It spent much more time in mean girls like dialogue and school scenes with nothing lewd at all. Just extremely slow corruption.

I would say, wait for this game to be completed and then play it with a guide. It's not worth your time right now due to the lack of lewd scenes; which pains me to say tbh as it is a great game.

When this game is completed it will likely be a 5/5 game, just extremely slow to start but should pay off. The problem is, right now, the slow build up doesn't yet pay off so it's not currently worth the time. 5/5 potential though.

excelent game, the mechanic of the game works fine and accompany the history pretty well, manage GM and his mechanics without errors, thanks to that the game is very enjoyable, i full recomend this game if you like the "topics" that presents.

It's a great game if you like slow corruption games with a female protagonist.

Solid story, fair difficulty (there is also a hard mode option) and nice scenes.

The updates are quite regular too, which is nice.

This game is well worth the investment! Unlike others in the genre, it's a pretty intensive "corruption" that shows how sinister the genre really is. The mind control from Luciela (cough) is thorough, and takes into account how to fundamentally rewrite the MC in a way that takes into account the totality of her being.

Most corruption games pretty much end the first time you get the MC to cum, and it's essentially a picture grab at that point. In this one, you'll go weeks in game before sex even really crosses the MC's mind. I felt guilty with some of these scenes, knowing my direct intervention is the only reason the MC had changed enough to do the things they did. The combat, in the meantime, is pretty rock solid. It has dimensions to it that are fun to experiment with, as well as a weakness and buff system that makes sense intuitively.

It's not a good porn game. It's just a good game, that has sex and porn in it. It's what a lot of people wish h-games were like, myself included. I found myself genuinely enjoying the plot and combat, building my lil' slime companion, reveling in the story with the characters you interact with.

This is a genuinely good game with a nice story, good characters (some character interactions actually were really funny, even made me laugh), great Art and also some unique and innovative gameplay elements. As others have already stated, if you are into slow corruption games, this can be a good pick.

Still, after spending 16h on this game I have some gripe with it. While Chapter 1 starts strong, it becomes quite the slog after some time. There is too much gameplay that involves standard RPG Elements(Roaming around Maps, killing Mob Groups, Looting...) which don't give H-Content or even really contribute to the story. Furthermore some dialogs are very long winded, especially during the real world phase. The difficulty is fairly high even on "normal" and while I don't mind challenging gameplay it makes the grind even worse. I think Chapter 1 should be shortened or alternatively more H-Content added, some H-Encounters in Dungeons would be nice. In Chapter 2(After the Festival of Greed) the game picks up the pace to a more enjoyable level, but getting to Chapter 2 can take over 8h.

Really the only reason why I am giving a 4/5 here is because of Chapter 1, otherwise this game is easily a 5/5 in my opinion.

I have to write a review because this game being under 4 stars is a crime. This is probably the best slow corruption games on the site and if you enjoy corruption games you should definitely give this game a shot. Even though this game isn't completed there's a ton of content already for many hours.

The story is interesting and the world is great. The art is great and the slow corruption of the main character is really really well done. Having the character get more corrupt in real world and in fantasy world is an interesting concept. The combat is standard RPGM combat, but the game allows for different builds and ways to play to keep it somewhat interesting.

The downsides for the game is building of the corruption stat, which is sometimes hard to manage (if you let it build too high it's game over) and sometimes you may get stuck not knowing what to do because the quest journal isn't always clear of your objectives. This is bad because you build up corruption daily and if you cant find a way to progress you end up building corruption which results in game over.

I hope some of the things get improved or adjusted upon completion of this game, but it still didn't stop me from enjoying this game alot. Can't wait for this game to be completed.
