That's the puzzle element of this zone. You can talk to the various residents to get a pretty good idea how to solve it. If you sell enough pyromantium to the shop in the time loop then on the next loop the injured man will have enough bombs to avoid injury. This will have him standing in the mountain area in the top left area of the village. The new area you can access should allow you to get all of the previously unattainable nodes.
Is there any place in town to get the pyromantium? I think I pretty much used everything available before entering Mountainreach

I don't think so. There is a merchant is Nephlune who restocks some rare materials that will be able to sell you some though.

What skill?

Aura should still be able to read almost any book as long as your willpower is high enough.

Only exception, IIRC, might be the reading speed book, which Aura can't read at all if she's learned to dislike reading too much.

Isn't "too much" in this case the first reading debuff? The one you get for removing 2 studying books says that reading speed cannot be boosted.

Is it finally worth it grinding through his story? Also can anyone with a modicum of taste tell me if it's worth it to read his story? Like are there overarching themes apparent unrelated to lust that would not be a terrible time to sift through?

The overall game has a "moral degeneration" theme with the MC's initial values and relationships gradually being turned inside-out, and it may well be the best game out there for that; if otoh that's not your thing, you'll probably be groaning at a lot of the IRL scenes, especially early on where there are like 10 scenes that all lead up to MC starting to wear heels, never mind the other appearance changes.

The fantasy world has a more standard fantasy/isekai plot that's decently-written (and this is basically the entire game if you choose to play "pure" as the corruption is completely avoidable, albeit with a lot of extra challenge). If you're in for a story in a porn-game, you could do much, much worse.

I don't recall the exact change that causes it, my current playthrough is actually older than the reading speed boosting book ^^
