it is disappointing that there isnt really any customization in the corruption aspect. with how it's laid out, it feels like there should be but it really is just click everything with zero agency which is frustrating. like i hate how aura dresses like a caricature of a hooker and looks so radically different from just the first corruption room. some aspects i can forgive because it'd be exponentially more work like branching storylines with how you influence relationships but i feel like the appearance wouldve been an easy win.

also wish the dev would revamp the early game lewd scenes to actually progress in a way that makes sense instead of just a bunch of one-off zero character progression scenes. it almost feels like those scenes weren't even supposed to be there in the first place and the dev just added them as an afterthought. trying to revisit the game after so many updates and im just reminded of how much of a slog alot of it is.

If it helps,

A lot of people make that same mistake.

And they all come raging here about it :ROFLMAO:
I can see why. Or more like can't. Because there's no indication or incentive to interact with that particular Rose. You'd think that after adding Alicia into the spot it'll just railroad the events as Aura's corruption is progressing but of course not, that'd have been too convenient for the player. :WeSmart:

Well,

For future reference if the crystal outside the room is yellow, that means there's an available mental change in the room.

If you can't think of what it is, it's maybe time to start thinking outside the box and start clicking things you wouldn't normally think to.

You can also find a ton of loot in the game by clicking on various skeletons, bookshelves and what have you.

I basically said exactly this in a previous post manyyyyy pages back and got barked at, its hard to give genuine criticism without someone defending the awful design choices. Like for example, there is a really hot scene in an underground bar(which takes you forever to get too, even if you ctrl-skip through assloads of meaningless exposition/dialogue) and it only has 2 scenes. Initial > follow up > ??? Nothing else. You're somehow able to keep generating "favor" or whatever the resource was by working there, but its pointless as there is nothing else to do and the entirety of that area is devoid of any other content.

There is a ton of that in the game, its masses upon masses of text, followed by a trickling of scenes here and there, and then certain areas just stop instantly from being interesting once you've seen one or two scenes. The sheer volume of scenes that could have been in that bar is immense, and yet nothing was done with it.

There are bottlenecks, including the art budget and development time. Also such scenes would have to be integrated with the gameplay, which in a way punishes players for doing the H by adding Corruption. You'd have players complaining "oh I can't do all the H because it Game Overs me". The H aspect of the game is taxed for being in a JRPG, both in time and budget. The game in your signature OTOH is free to be a fuckfest with a bare skeleton of gameplay that isn't particularly meaningful.

Case and point, but I'll take the bait I guess: What is your definition of 'meaningful gameplay' then? Surely its not RPGM's mindless turn-based combat? You could strip that completely out of this game and it would be infinitely more enjoyable in a heartbeat. The "gameplay" of messing around in the MC's head, and slowly twisting her into a total slut, is great and I don't mind it at all, and find it to be unique and its what drew me to the game in the first place. However, the entire rest of the game falls apart after that, when you have to sit through a slog of thousands of lines of dialogue, and all you wanna do is push the character around and get them into sexual situations because you know... its a porn game, and yet you have to "fight" the game to get too any of it, and once you finally arrive too it, it ends immediately(almost).

Having a challenging gameplay loop that is driven by player skill and knowledge of the game. In SKA you:

  • Learn enemy tactics and how to counter them
  • Decide how to spend your gold, balancing power gain with spending required to advance through the plot
  • Decide how to efficiently use your materials to make your character stronger while making sure it's worth the expense
  • Craft items you think you're going to use in future battles
  • Either evade enemies, or decide which ones to remove from the map
  • Decide when to use items that last for a day, to maximize your progress
  • Manage Willpower and work around curses
  • Make sure Corruption doesn't overflow, and ideally keep it low so it doesn't hurt your stats
  • (Optionally) strategically use drugs, making sure it's worth the addiction and corruption cost

Almost none of this is stock RPGM combat, I'm sick of reading that. Not only is SKA one of the best options when it comes to gameplay in a H-game, it's a solid JRPG all on its own. But for someone not looking for non-H gameplay at all, obviously that aspect is going to get in the way of their enjoyment. I think just being in the H-RPG category sets up some player expectations that turn into frustration once they realize this really is a full-length JRPG that's in no hurry to get them off.

Admittedly, I think punishing the player by adding Corruption for H-scenes may have gone too far, and I think there is room for scenes where Aura does H without Corruption or monetary / stat gain.

Arguably the whole "Corruption is bad and needs to be spent" should have been automatic and not stat-driven, given that the Earth corruption is mostly linear anyway. Just let Alicia spend the points without danger of a Game Over or reduced stats.

If there is no additional Alicia x Aura ending I'm not interested, I just hope to get the good ending to see Aura defeat Richard once and for all.

That's what you don't get. It's not a porn game where you just see sexual situations one after another. It's a good game that contains porn scenes. And that means a player is supposed to play, not just wait for another sexual situation.

Story with thousand lines of dialog, battles mechanics - if you delete all this than there would be almost nothing left. That's the main reason why so many people rate this game high (and other people rate this game low but first people are leading).
