Ren'Py - Abandoned - Star Mars [v0.9.1b] [Magic Dude]

3.5/5 - Rounding up to 4 stars purely because it does have potential and some surprisingly solid parts in there

Pros:
- Game with a large focus on futanari. If you got here by browsing the futa tag then you won't be disappointed, unlike 99% of the other games that contain the tag.
- World building. It's got a surprisingly decent-ish world to get lost in.
- The scenes that were there were hot enough although a few of them have these odd unskippable moments.
- The map and the environments? Surprisingly high quality. Was impressed.

Cons:
- Game with large focus on futanari. Not a con for me but since the "futanari" tag is very ambiguous when it comes to the amount of futa content in the tagged game, some people might be shocked here. Although if you had looked at the banner image you should've really known already.
- The scripts/grammar could be improved. At the moment it's a bit crude and abrupt in the way characters speak which can be jarring.
- For a game with a large focus on pro-futanari content the start of the game is ver confusing. MILD-SPOILER: The MC is noticeably afraid of women with dicks at the start of the game and only after experiencing a few oddly rape-y scene (no full rape) did he come around to them. It was an odd tone to experience for a game like this.

I dislike sandbox game structure and navigation, but it's done decently well here - navigation felt laggy to me, but the flow is mostly intuitive, which is my biggest complaint about sandbox being done poorly. A mostly-good quest tracker solves my other gripe about sandbox games, which is the guessing component of trying to figure out where and when to meet people.

The mini games lagged my laptop hard, but it only affected gameplay after a few iterations and they're skippable.

The story is serviceable - it knows it's a porn game and doesn't take itself too seriously, but still manages to both be coherent and not get in the way (both rare, in my experience)

There's minimal purely straight content at the moment, but what's there is good. Same goes for male on futa. The futa on male content is much more extensive and very good.

All in all, a little rough around edges, but I like it a lot and am looking forward to future updates. I'd probably give it a 4/5, but I think it's worth counter-balancing some lower scores from people who didn't realize this game had a futa-on-male focus.

The game design aspect of this game is pretty good, but i was quite disappointed by its lewd content. On the surface it seemed that its was going to be a regular porn game with futa characters in it, and while that is technically true, personally i was expecting male on futa content and not the other way around. Its pretty much a deal breaker for me.
Overall its a well crafted game, but its content is just not for me.

I quite liked this game. It definitely needs to be polished a bit more with better writing but I like the premise of the game, and the MC being on the receiving end of futa cock is nice. Looking forward to what else is in store for this game!

Futa characters are funny and their sizes... You knooow, it's alarming about bright future of the protagonist. But I hope he will be alive after some reverse action)

This is a pretty great futa on male game. If you're not into that then you probably shouldn't play. The story feels contrived, but it's still erotic, so I can't complain too much. I do enjoy the writing. I wish the game made it more clear as to what I can interact with. Right now, you have to move the mouse across the entire screen to make sure you didn't miss anything important. I have high hopes for this game.

In a word? Trash.

The navigation is clunky af, the gameplay is tedious as all hell, you're constantly going to and fro the mc's cabin to change clothes in order to be able to talk to someone. Forced fetishes not disclosed in the description including force feminization of the mc. The devs has gone so far as to make the mc only able to orgasm when taking it in the butt. Dev takes some feed back but has a track record so far of trolling. Used have futa on male as optional now all of the straight content has been removed and there content warning for everything, including a warning that you'll be talking to an asian. It might blossom but for whats in the game right now? I'd avoid and wait to see where it goes unless you're into the fetishes I guess.

There's a lot of improvement to make on the progression, it's all guess work and feels really awkward, that you need to talk to the Captain to make time pass when the TV doesn't work. Also, discovering that you had to repeat Asha's quest 2x to raise enough money, is kinda weird. It worked, but felt amateurish.

Right now, I don't feel I could recommend this to anyone, in spite of good renders and a somewhat fun story. The progression is too convoluted, weird and feels forced. Hoping this can be fixed, I'll keep playing this.

Its a shame cause it had potential to be a good game but not in this curent state.The game suffers from the same simptoms like any other sandbox game with horrible mechanics,lack of real hints on what to do next,bugs etc.If something changes i'll change my review but untill then i would not recomand anyone to try it out! Seriously dont waste your time!

Complete mess of a game, bugged quests which render all other quests broken, awful sandbox with a bad backpack mechanic that makes quest logs, tips etc a problem. Most interactions with the world are through clickables which makes the game even worse when trying to get money or complete a quest. Broken game.

Reviewing for 0.3 although I did not get all the content of this version. In fact, I quit fairly early as I simply couldn't stand any more. A lot of the writing is strange to the point I'm fairly certain this is MTL. Not always a deal breaker with renders this good, but you'll spend so much time trapped in the MC's annoying thoughts that skipping just isn't enough. Choices so far seem to amount to "pick the right one or it's game over". I didn't see a single choice that gives players any kind of influence on events or story, even in places where such choices really should have existed. There were even a couple times where the MC outlined the obvious choices that should have been there only to do something completely different without any choice being offered.

I can't quite describe this game but I say it's a start well done, it clearly took time and effort so I respect the developer.

The good:

• Visual quality
• Fetish diversity (although only a dickgirl got content so far, rest were only introduced/teased)
• There are futas, midgets, a japanese girl, and an extremely long tongue girl. It also seems like there is a slave market and a night bar for future content.

The bad:

• The MC is a little annoying, constantly hearing his thoughts which are often rude and not aligning with mine is a little detaching.
• Story is a little silly, obviously it doesn't take itself seriously but some of the dialogues were quite baffling, instead of funny.
• Reaching quest list or ship(map) screens take too many clicks. Quest list itself could use a scroll instead of page system.
• For the reason above, constantly having to go back to room to switch between casual and work clothes is a hassle. (solved by adding a button for MC cabin)
• Lack of content. (about 30minutes without skipping?)

The okay:

• Music is okay, it's not great but at least the game is not dead silent.
• The animations are okay. They exist, they're not completely a slide show, but also not up to quality with the rest of the visual aspects.

TL;DR
The game is still early in development, it could be something great, story is not the main aspect here, it's a porn game through and through.
The pros I wrote are really good, but the cons are just me nitpicking.

Loved the dickgirls and the playful tone. Plot feels believable and coherent. Dialogue a little wonky, but no biggy. Sandbox a little clunky, but helps with immersion.

Promising, really looking forward to future updates!

I like the Character designs and the Fetishes are right up my alley. I just hope the future updates allow for a more custom dialogue tree, allow us to pick what we like etc. instead of being so linear. For example I quite like the Redhead character and if given the choice wouldn't have made the dialogue decisions that the MC made.

I like sci-fi, futas, and monster girls. I thought this would be right up my ally.

I'm reviewing this at the 0.1a release so I hope these observations are short lived. I'll update my rating and review if it does change for the better later.

The problems are the mini-games, not enough pay-off for the pain, and a game that requires a hell of a lot of trial and error before you find out what the next thing you are supposed to do is. Many times there's only one option open to you, so it's not really a sandbox even though it plays like one.

The renders are OK. I've certainly played other games that had better. The story is OK, but it's interrupted with minigames that break the flow and are frustrating to get past.

The juice just isn't worth the squeeze on this game yet, and I hope it changes for the better.

Pretty good! Like the premise and setup so far but still needs to find it's groove. Minigames need some tuning -- get rid or significantly lengthen timers and give an onscreen counter for objects picked up so you don't have to fail to know how many to find. Navigation could use some love.
Overall something I'll be watching.

Amazing game, tho it is in its early stage but I really do love it. Cant wait to see what dev has in store for us, the game starts off strong with a kink(futa), For those who are into it, I guaranty the time you shall spend on this game will be well worth it and do show some love to the dev, as this is the most I can do, wish I could invest in your patron to support you over there, but I can't

Just amazing, the futa in this game is very to my liking, LETS GOOOO.
I hope he keeps going and bringing such a great content and i'm gonna download every update as a maniac. A great amount of content for so little time but still such a great delicious big juicy content.

After playing through the intro, I'm excited to see what this game will bring in future updates. Good story telling and visuals. I guess my only criticisms so far are that the MC looks kind of effeminate and it felt like I had a limited amount of choice (which may not even be a bad thing considering that the intro largely exists to set the scene, it's just a trend that I hope doesn't persist).

Side note, big fan of the suprise at the intro's ending and the planned content for this game. Best of luck to the dev!

Reviewing the Introduction

Here we have an entertaining story with highest quality renders.
The english seems flawless so far. (It's my third language so what do I know?)
Character models look superb. (Exept the initial hairs on MCs hands. Thankfully that is rectified within one or two minutes of gameplay.)
The only annoyance I encountered was the inner monolog of the MC. The people talking to him don't seem to care that the MC stares into space and the player is not privy to the "conversation" because all the player gets to read are the thoughts of the MC. However, this might change as the story continues and the MC grows his character a bit.
I am curious to see the next update for this game.
