It's they. It's not just one guy DOOD. They use terms like WE. How do you think most game studious started? What's a big corporation that follows their deadline. over 100k a year, previous successful games panning multiple years. Working on 2 projects simultaneously relying on ai for some things. At some point you just gotta stop hiding or defending people behind the small dev team bullshit excuse and realize this is a team with multiple games under their belt lol. Because then you have the genuine asshole devs that do 'everything" by themselves hording their subscribers money refusing to pay anyone to help make production faster. If anything if you claim indie dev status that automatically puts you in a position where you have to be more engaged with your community letting them know. If things weren't looking set to ship on the 8th or 9th just tell people.

All I want are fantastic updates. What is required for a very experienced developer to do so? Time. This update already adds and also changes a shitload and its fairly close to breach that 1.5 threshold. From what we know from the reveals, comparing 1.7 to 1.8 is like comparing 1.3 to 1.5. A lot is different and better, especially the character redesigns.
Just fully commit and take your time. Let it solidify into something fantastic through hard work and the time spend as far as hobbyist projects go.

Even in your past comment you said 'Don't rush this shit out like its slop, don't set a date, just fucking work on it and release it when its ready in 2 months or so" How many times was this postponed? Who set the date me? Who hasn't communicated? The path from 1.3 to 1.5 took the same amount of time as 1.7 to 1.8. except there's obvio a missing update and drip of content and communication. How many triple a games by well known studios have flopped in spite of taking even more time, decades in some accounts? Time is meaningless if it's not managed correctly. If i gave you 10 years you could never build halo 1 success. Suddenly went from 1 guy, 1 small tiny eeny bitty indie developer uwu to a 'very experience developer" at least hold a consistent view.

Their new excuse after pushing it 11 days ago, claiming that actually this is just a side project that no one cares about (receives money for months with only this game available and no demo or test build out) is
'It was moved to Friday because a good amount of ppl was advising they wouldn't be able to play the update during the working week and so a weekend release was decided as it was advised on the "Delay" post thats at the top of the board."
The 'reason" it was pushed was because 'some mods" couldn't play it during the week so might as well Friday. Ig they caught their mistake and added in comments the typical bug fixes and what not, as if this game isn't known for having bugs..

I mean I unsubscribed to them on Patreon when it became clear that they only ever bother to communicate via Discord and can't hold to a release date to save their lives. That and just never going back to fix OG Roundscape with the patch that's coming any day now guys they promise.
Still doesn’t excuse incompetence. Guy makes 14k a month on Patreon, sixtuple the average US income yet has managed to change the estimated deadline like 5 different times.
Anyway I think the guy had done absolutely nothing during September-October and little in Nov because I’ve noticed the lack of content being showcased in the server during those months, which is unlike Kal. Usually he’d post small teasers, and is only recently posting stuff so I already kinda knew that we’d get a delayed release anyway.
