VN - Ren'Py - Straight!? [Revamp v0.11.1] [Aaryn]

I love this game. I didn’t appreciate the characters from the beginning but like every beautiful story I fell in love with their flaws until the end. The story is beautifully written, and it makes you live moment by moment leading to growing excitement, romance, intrigue and many other feelings. It’s just beautiful I cried several times like a little girl held in suspense like a violin string. Bravo bravo bravo

One of the best games of this genre I have ever played. Fabulous realistic characters and so far has been a joy to play. I cannot wait to see where the story goes. It gets better with each update. Recommended play though to see for yourself

Straight!? This name could stick exactly where we may think it is and yet we're talking about a game with a gay direction. I'm straight, but I'm mostly looking for good VN with an attractive story. Straight is no way out of this rule and even if it seems weird for some straight people to play a game with gay characters and a gay story, as long as the story is good and the characters interesting we shouldn't feel embarrassed to try this game. The story is certainly a bit simple-minded, two characters who tell each other their story and one thing leading to another become friends and more. But in the end when you immerse yourself in the story you are surprised at how your relationship with your roommate turns out. Graphically interesting, just a little more people are missing in the background in the corridors or in the amphitheater, for the immersion. Like I said, I'm straight, but for this kind of story "I want more."

A coming of age story with realistic characters struggeling with their feelings and emotions. A great story and fantastic realistic charecters. This game is highly recommended and I really look forward to follow how the story and the game develops.

Thought I'd try a gay game to see what it is like and actually really enjoyed it. This is the first game where I've ended up caring about the characters rather than just being in it for the sex scenes. As for the sex side, YMMV but I find the slow build up you get here much hotter than something that jumps straight in.

Story: This is where the game really stands out. Haven't played anything else where the story is so developed.
Graphics: Not an expert, so can't comment much on things like lighting, but everything looks good to me. I'm more into girls, but even the characters that I'm less sold on are objectively attractive. I like Cody in particular.
Amount of content: Loads.

A porn game with a compelling story, a guy that's hot as all hell and has deep character and so much personality that you wish you had a magic spell to bring him out of the story and into your life! You really like to make impossible contradictions work, don't you?

I got so sucked in by the story and the lifelike characters that I actually forgot to jerk off Instead it kept me in a perpetual state of arousal because of that fierce sexual tension between the MC and his love interest. They circle each other so carefully and tenderly that I was shocked when I actually got to see a hardcore scene. This story is really an emotional rollercoaster.

Gameplaywise it plays much like a kinetic novel, except for the first two chapters which are a bit more gamey with their repeating tasks. After that it's mostly linear which is fine by me

This Game is one of the few gay only games. It has a great plot to offer and good looking guys. The CGs are good quality. From time to time you can decide how to react in different situations. The plot is developing slow but steady. If you like gay stuff, be advised to play this good game.

The Gay Tag review

There is the word Straight in the title, but this game is told from a gay point of view and it's about gay relationships, so no mistake about that.

The essence of the game is a rather simple coming-of-age story, with a shy and withdrawn gay main character that falls in love with his roommate at the university. It could be a very trite and clichéd story, but it is tackled in the least trite and most elegant possible way. As other people have written, the writing is top-notch and it's a great story to be sucked in.
However, it should be mentioned that there's not much of a "game" here. Even for the standard of visual novels, there are basically no choices, except for a couple. So, expect to click on a lot of text and read, don't expect that you affect the flow of the story in anyway. It is also a very sloooow burner and also the characters -the inner monologues of the MC especially- tend to overthink everything, which is great to give that state of confusion and anxiety typical of the age and to deepen the characters themselves, but that occasionally feels like an endless going in circles.

One of the best games ever, although defining it as a game is an understatement: there is a deep, inspired, curated and touching story, it is an adventure to discover an extraordinary and ordinary person at the same time, the protagonist is splendidly close to a being real human, there is no talk of a game, this is a real life simulation. The narration is convulsive, deep, suggestive and beautifully made, the images are spectacular and infuse life into the characters represented, it's not a game, it's not porn, it is something wonderfully unique. Truly a masterpiece that will improve with the future. Many thanks to Aaryn for this story, a wonderful tale of friendship, feelings, love, honesty and lies, truth and wishes.

This game shines with its very well written slow progressing story and its well made CGs. The body and details are build with an carefull eye for details and not the typical fast made standard asset CGs we often see. However, it seems like it takes more and more time do deliver the updates.

I was just bored and looking for a game to kill some time when I clicked on this. Never expected it to be so good or so well written. I kept expecting it to end and almost gave up on it at the beginning thinking it would be another grinding game that didn't go anywhere. So happy I stuck with it, so cute. Can't wait to see where it goes next.

You do not have to be gay or bi to enjoy this. I am a straight so what, i decided to give this a shot, and I do not regret it. Honestly it inspired me to try out other gay Ren'Py. And I thank you for that @Aaryn

i honestly love this fuckin game. <3 the faces are truly wonderful, the storyline is fuckin relatable and not your typical classic straight into sex, in fact one of the first gay vn or just vn's in general where i actually paid attention to the story. and both characters have bodies that are the closest things to realism (not too buffy, or 8 pack abs or just too skinny). i honestly just love this fuckin game. keep it up

Really this is one of the hidden gems I've managed to find on this site. It's a great story, I am loving the slow burn of the relationship between the two main characters and I like that the progression is slow but steady. No complaints gameplay wise either, I like that the optional dialogue is flagged up so you know what's important and what is extra. ( I always go for the extra anyway). If you're looking for a quick play then this isn't for you. But if you want a slow burn relationship with a good story and lots of great dialogue then this is for you.

Quite honestly the best damn thing I've seen in the genre. The characters are relatable and equal parts hot and adorable. The images are capturing both personality and facial expression well, something often overlooked or at least not well done. The secondary cast is quite small so a lot can probably be attributed to focusing on a smaller set of characters. In this case I have no complaints though.
Please give them a happy ending (or several )

To whoever it may concerns, i beg of you to not play this game. It will suck and trap you in a way that is rarely seen, even more if you consider the nature of VN games.
You looking for a good story? Sorry. absolutely not. However, if you want something incredible...well...here you have it. Really well written and surprisingly I'm not talking about the erotic aspects only. The character creation is exactly what you would expect of college age people. Going as far as fears, family relations and bonding.
Originality? Need I say more about the story for it to be as clear as a certain in game bathroom that it is unique so far?
Renders and Playability are really well done. Little imperfections work to make the characters more realistic.
No bugs as far as I have played (since the beginning if I may complement) have survived for more than 1 upgrade.
The only "down" point is that the game allways ends in a way that rewrittes the way teasing works. This is really a pearl to be played by people who are, or even those who aren't, fond of not so Straight games.
I do hope that the future developments of the game don't lose the touch they have so far.
If after this review you are not sure about playing. I suggest that you at least try it till a certain kiss scene. If by then you do not like the game, there will be nothing i can write to make my point.

The premise for this game is really great. The creator has done a fantastic job of building up the characters and the payoff is amazing. Will continue to follow this developer and cannot wait for the next installment

Excellent storytelling and fantastic character development.

This is not that "-Hey bro wanna fuck? -Sure." type of game. If you were looking for some quick fap material then this game may not for you. But if you enjoy reading stories, conflicts and reasonable dramas then congrats you have found one of the BEST games on this forum.

Right now there isn't much contents about "Corruption" though...

Simply fantastic game. Story is well written, character progression is amazing, and the cliffhangers that author of this game likes to put in are nothing short of magnificent. Although I complained about it, it was meant to show my lack of patience for next update.

That being said, this is not a short porn game. This is a character driven story that is far more focused on character development and their internal struggles, than on a quick fap material. I mean seriously, we waited 12 updates for 1st kiss, and it was bloody amazing.

The passion put into making this, story filled with interesting dialogues and occasional joke or philosophical answer, not to mention the ability to literally demolish bathroom just for your pervy satisfaction, make it truly an interesting game and well worth your time.

While many aspects of gameplay are quite linear and simplistic, and the dialogue a bit too 'dude' and 'broish' at times; I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. I simply cannot wait for the final version.
