No you can have regular sex with her just any other slave you have.
You just need to do other things to open up more you can do with her just like other npc's/slaves.

I've periodically tried to play this game, I think the last time before now was in the very beginning of 2021 but there never seems to be anything to do, so each time I have given up on it and tried again later. I also played the earlier game Strive for Power. There never seemed to be very much to do in that game either, but at least my character could make the attempt to fuck his slaves. He very rarely succeeded though.
Anyway, I can't figure out how to interact with the characters. I've tried using the in-game tutorials but they are no help for that. I can buy a slave in the market and then click on her in the mansion screen and read all sorts of things about her and I can assign her a task (that she will not actually do, but at least I can assign it) but I cannot actually interact with her in any capacity and I definitely cannot even attempt to have sex with her.
Seemingly all I can do is end the turn over and over again until my only slave runs away because I haven't trained her. I would love to train her, but no such option appears to exist. There is a talk button on the screen that appears when I click on the slave but no matter how many times I click on the talk button nothing ever happens.

Use Social skills to increase theire Loyality and Obedience and/or date them for a chance to learn about them (preferrences in Sex) or Train them in 1 of the 3 categories (Physical strength, Mental Strength or Charm).
If they like you enough any date ends in sex, other than that you can also initiate Sex via the date menu right off the bat.
More commonly any Action a Character takes increases it's stats.

Feels broken since last time I played. For example i click Date, choose 2 and it does not let me pick. Similar to the 3 actions in the bar at the bottom. It says target and i can't choose one

Make sure MC is not checked and then pick 1 and you should be good to go on a date.
For sex you choose MC and 1 other and you should be good to go.
I don't do group sex so have no idea how that works.
Does the slave you're trying to date have dating unlocked?
I still kind of like the first game more. Combat in this one is better of course, but I feel like this one adds a lot of busywork for the sake of busywork with all the materials. Also they made it way harder to get new slaves, particularly for rare races. In the first one you could just wander around and kidnapborrow people from random encounters, but they removed that for some reason.

You can still find some rare monsters in Dungeons, like Goblins, Dark Elfes and Fayries.
Also Part one was even worse with rare material, here you can buy all or dismantle them from Items in Part one you had to keep fghting specific enemies for rare materials required for the strongest gear (like the Gargoyle from the Elfen ruins).
the only things that seem to have become harder is providing enough food for all your slaves thanks to the lack of a Farm

The second game is much better in terms of quality of life aspects, but worse in terms of simulation and immersion IMO. There's just less things to assign your slaves to do, and less pretense at running a household as a consequence. It could be called streamlined and I'm sure some people prefer it that way, but I find it makes me see slaves as interchangeable workers rather than individuals to tailor jobs for. There's very much a comment about slavery there, to be sure.
In the first game, I wanted to get a slave for a particular job they were suited for and have as much variety as possible. This time around it's just "I need people to get wood, you'll do. You might be good at signing but there is no signing, so go do something else or there's no point having you." (As an example, I can't remember what jobs were dropped between games, it's been a while).

There is only prostitution to earn Gold, no Entertainer or Escort.
Also no Prison Warden or Head Girl... some Jobs became part of the Class System (like Head Girl), others were dropped or are not yet implemented.
I kinda liked the "Wild" trait of free roaming monsters and the need to discipline them in the Dungeon in Part one, aswell as the non Sex Jobs for earning money, but overall the 2nd game offers more to gameplay and keeps me entertained for longer than the first part ever could
Just started a new save, how do I get my starter companion join me to fight?

First one is definitely better for me,the freedom you had to go around and just bonk random people and rape bring them to your fluffy room is something I miss a lot.

You have to unlock the Combatant Loyalty skill. Go to your companion's Character Info tab, then click the Training and Rules button at the bottom left, and select the combatant skill to unlock. Will require 15 or 20 Loyalty, which you should be able to gain by using either your Punish or Praise social skill on your companion. Note if you choose to ally with the Fighter guild your companion will have Combatant unlocked by default.

Some players need to under stand that this game is very different that the first game and trying to bring in what the last game has into this one will just make you mad.
Yes this game is a different game altogether and has its own learning curve.
Yes in the beginning you need to harvest what ever you can and sell it for money to progress the story but dev gives you and out with the main story where you only have to pay about or less than 5k and then no more.
