VN - Ren'Py - Studio Hearts [v0.2] [Atemsiel]

Pleasantly surprised by this game with great potential but already very good, I like the graphic style, I find the rendering pretty, the animations are good, the story is nice, I also like the dose of humor in the game, the sex scenes are very good. In short, another good game from Atemsiel

This a really good start of a story to a what if...? scenario that seems not too far fechted so far, with everything very relatable and grounded. The characters are really well developed and it doesn't appear to be going down the expected Mafia, exploitation, sex trafficking route where the poor girl needs saving; the classic western view of camgirls. It's just a job that can pay well, which is fantastic. The Li's are beautiful, although its really nice to see them outside, as unsurprisingly a huge amount so far is in cam chat (done really well) where she's seen in a tiny square box or by texting, which can get a bit heavy going at times. It is a visual novel after all. It's got me gripped so far and I loved the cliff hanger, so I can't wait for the next update. This could be a great 5 star VN.

I really liked this! The renders and animations are great, and the premise seems like it has enough legs to sustain a good story over the long term. The main thing, though, is that it feels like the characters have been thought through. It's within the heightened reality of a porn game, obviously, but the two leads feel three-dimensional. I've found them sticking with me, even after getting to the end of the update. As an initial impression, it has me wanting to see more.

The one reservation I do have, though, is just what happened with Stormside. I'll take the dev at their word that this is designed to go more smoothly and quickly (less branching), and that they're past the burnout/life troubles that caused it, but I'm slightly hesitant to get too invested, on that basis. Still, that's not a reflection on the game itself, so I won't dock any points for it.

I like this game. It's upfront about having a cam girl as the main girl, so if you don't want that, don't waste your time, but it's pretty solid quality, and there's enough in this first release to satisfy me. The animations are great as always with Atemsiel, and the writing flows fairly well. I'll be keeping an eye on this one too.
