It is quite a success, and i'm very much looking forward for this, but life taught me, that this kind of projects ends with tremendous failures :/

Anyway - if it'll work, then it'll be one of the most complex games this kind, and one of the best ;p

When I do a project, I keep track of the hours I spend on it. Never have I thought to myself, I'm gonna make a fortune off this one. Keep the expectations low, and it's a pleasant surprise when the money comes in. If you go into it expecting to do well, or worse, with a sense of entitlement... get over yourself. This genre isn't something that you sell, it's something that you share, and you get rewarded for sharing. 10 times your goal is common. Give back to the community, supporting other developers, it's not a competitive gig, other games attract more interests and more players find your games. Don't get discouraged if your first few projects don't do as well as some others, just try and do your best.

That's a huge amount of money! Who would have guessed?!
I'm waiting patiently for Rebel Galaxy Outlaw to cater my sci-fi requirements, but this one could be a really nice space sim too.

More kickstarter projects either fail or never live up to expectations, then those that succeed or even finish... That's why I never or rarely invest into Kickstarters… It's like going to a casino and throwing your money in a slot machine for that new hot car on display... 9.99999 times out of ten you just threw your money away due to bad odds of getting a winning pull...

Plus, depending on the kickstarter site they went with... If they fail to complete their project on time or within expectations, they could end up having to give all that money back...

Are these devs widely known, or something? Five seconds of looking at the KS hasn't convinced me that there's a million dollars out of value in there.

The 1 Million Stretchgoal should have been hiring Selfdrilling or Gnomfist. :p
