The best relics are in the ruins. To get them, I suggest searching the best runes available first, and equip them.

To start chapter four? Go to the Hammerfall Tribe and speak with their leader.

Not in the first game but later on. Like having some choices that could end up in a bad end where you lose your waifus or even worse, lose his life because of sweet love to his darlings who became discreet succubuses.

A friend of mine had to completely discard an entire project (500hrs+ in) because the guy who did the gameplay and other stuff disappeared.

He didn't know what to do, since it was all based on scripts and he was like me, no idea on how to proceed with that.

He had to start from the ground up.

So no, I won't be calling anyone to help me with that. I'll learn and do the best I can with what I have.

That's why it's either better to work alone or work with people you already know (professionally). Specially if you know where they live. It's way harder to ghost when you know IRL your colleagues.

You might, but it will cause all sorts of problems. The game had an overhaul with the full chapter 3, so you might not have the right spells, or be too weak, characters with wrong sprites, etc
