It's a bug. Please, skip the prologue for now.
We changed the plugin for saving, to be more robust and allow people to save more (50 slots), but I didn't foreseen the bug.
Skipping the prologue allows you to save normally.

Just play through the prologue and after hitting the beach start a fresh save and save normally. You won't miss any part of the story and avoid the bug.
Last I played the prologue, chapter two was out. Probably why I don't remember that scene.

I've been skipping the prologue since 2019, I didn't remember that scene.
It doesn't appear if you skip it. Or if it does, it doesn't appear to me.

The scene is still part of the prologue. When you arrive at the beach the ferryman reminds you to take your luggage and the PC moves to the box to trigger the scene. After that you are done with the prologue and can move.
How strong is the average man compared too a 40 attack Mc? Like, are our attacks making craters at that point or what?

No quite, each rune improves the MC, but not that much.
Realistically speaking, by the end of the first game, considering his equipment, the main character will have the strength of 3 men combined, will be much faster than a average human and will have magical power comparable to a a lower duchess, although with much less mana reserves.
So, by that logic, at the end of chapter 20, the bear from Brave will still be stronger

That succubus looks exactly like the Azure Hellish clan that will eventually appear in the game.

They are on their own. The only way they might get together is to return to Adalon and leave a message there, so when their brothers return, they could be informed to also come back at the same time.
Mostly they rely on news from the City State.
