Zion iamma be real i really love this game a lot and warlock saga as well idk about eden didnt try that yet. But man can you for gods sake tells us properly when your gonna take a break and for long as well as for how long it will take to finish this game because i know that connecting some shit to your world lore and making sure it makes sense isnt an easy process by any means and requires a lot of hardwork but a lot of us have been waiting for a while. Espiscally the people that have been here from the start of the game

I dont think everyone will support money for a 3 4 months personal break time and that will make some supporters pause their monthly pay for those months.
That why zion dont chosse ur option.
Some patroners generously say ''i need a break so i gonna pause the support billing for this month.'' . See the differences? Literally opposite from zion.zion just want free money for lots of months. No matter what the situation is, zion always choose gold-digger option. With no deadline system he can do whatever he wants.

Totally agree with what this guy says, especially regarding balance. SC was bad in terms of balance, EC was just unbearable. I highly doubt majority even played through the entire game.
We all know the reason he came back and replied was because of the abandoned tag. If you want to subscribe to patreon to some creator, there are better creators.
LAGS, Namako, Kredyn, Tinkerer, and the maker of ASWS etc.
Consider this one abandoned. Happy to be proven wrong.

This is a serious suggestion, not an attack on Zion. Maybe he should just outsource all aspects of the game to subcontractors and only act as the manager and outline the direction of the game? He already does that for many aspects of the game. Then the burnout will not be an issue and the money he gets should easily be enough for that.
Nah brother. It was a lot. I had pages worth of criticisms for the pacing of the game, the fact that the robots would start at level 1 regardless of where we got them, whole bunch of stuff. Yeah, bugs were included, but they were the least of my criticisms of the game. He changed a lot about the game before its official release in large part due to my criticisms of it to make it a lot easier to play, and a lot less of a grind. I just can't take the notion seriously that Zion retreats from criticism when I'm literally been a person to criticize him.
Look, I don't know about your particular story and it sucks if you were banned for polite criticism. I just know it's not my experience. I can agree that the game could use a method of getting stronger that doesn't rely on beating the various succubi and equipping new runes to increase your stats. There should be a levelling mechanic, there should be more variety in enemies aside from just 'different colored plant demon' or at least a way to grind out the stat boosting foods instead of being limited to a hard cap. I've even been in DM's with Zion letting him know that some of his bloat is too much, and that he's ending up with a product that takes too long to make for not enough return, and never been banned. So I just don't know what you're talking about.

Christ on a bicycle, Zion have you learned NOTHING from the discourse going on in your own game thread for the past couple of years? people don't care about the sidegames, your crown jewel and your claim to fame has been and continues to be Succubus Covenant, hell the fact that its thread remained alive when it got no updates for the longest time ever should be a testament to just how much people like it in comparison to warlock saga or eden crest.
Take my advice, outsource your sidegame development since you already do that much with the art, and FOCUS on succubus covenant for crying out loud.

It's good to see you posting here after so long. I have never developed a game myself but I understand that it can be hard between the art and the coding. Not to mention you are making a story based game that you want to stand on it's own even outside it's h content. I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving and that time with friends and family will help you through your burnout.

To me this is just another classic case of a developer biting off more than they can chew. Warlock Saga is kinda meh and I don't really understand its desperate need for existence since Succubus Covenant is not finished and Eden Crest was uhhh...something that happened I guess..
I always assumed that if we were going to get multiple games, it would be a generation/era type of thing with the Succubus Covenant intro showing advanced humanity that it can basically tap into the past lives of people. So I thought we were going to get like games during like medieval, steampunk and modern era etc and not multiple side games in the same bronze age one.
I just don't understand why developers are so obsessed with making so many different games in as little time possible, ending up with unfinished or unsatisfying products and overall turning a fanbase on its creator for not properly working on the main product, we see this happen again and again on this forum.
I told myself that "I will wait for chapter 5 to review the game."
Man what a wait it has been..

Honestly, after all the wait and the broken dates? Barely anyone will give you a benefit of the doubt - only very fanatical of fans will.
Along with all the crap that I read about the ordeal in the discord in the others comments, taking you seriously is a joke. I'm sure as hell I was not on day one back when the SC1 was first released, but I still was quite an old fan and I WANTED to believe. Sadly, no hope for you. If you want somehow rectify yourself in the eyes of others - try let people know that you are going on a long-term vacation for one reason or another...And stop being a dick and keep your fanatics on a leash (I talking about the BigLundi comment here)
P.S. I'm not gonna lie if I say that comment comes off as harsh, but being frustrated with the Dev and seeing a lot of projects on this site getting abandoned can really do that to man.

I can't believe that even after 4 years there are still people simps defending and supporting this guy. When I supported my first kickstarter and got my tabletop game after 2 years of excuses I said no more to crowdfunding garbage and this thing has 4 years and looks terrible, artist downgrade and the worst gameplay i ever seen. Unfortunately, the reality is that there's a sucker born every day so this creator will keep selling hopes and dreams and the simps will fall for it. Once their wallet starts hurting they immediately start acting, that's just the way these people operate.

At first when I discovered SC I was thinking about supporting Zion but the development was way too slow, and I was like "Nah, not gonna support him unless he speeds it up". The development only got slower since then lol
Also the art downgrade made me not want to even see the scenes with succubus, I was only focused on fighting, and because losing is hard in this game once you have decent gear I never saw 60% of scenes. I just played it like a normal RPG, and it's not a good RPG comparing it to RPGmaker standards even.

Then he'll do just that, if it was only ever about doing side projects for fun then his work ethic and progress wouldn't be so abysmal, hell even if it is what you say, then he should give SC some proper love to garner some much needed good will and get more people onboard and then he can turn his attention back to his side games.
