Is it just me or do the noses of the characters seem off. Like it's not in the right place or something, or the shape is slightly wrong... I can't get over this.

Same here, I get that feeling too. I just can't... no. They look derpy.
The art isn't terrible, either, but the noses just ruin it.

The shape itself is fine, the reason your uncanny valley senses are tingling is because the nose is way too low and close to the mouth. It's a stylistic choice, but the price for that is that it implies that these characters have little to no upper lip/philtrum
