Unity - Succubus Hunt [v0.61] [Multby6]

Extremely mid porn 'game' with lovely animations marred by laughably bland gameplay that is painfully typical of the genre. Autosave off by default, lewd animation loops made for one pump chumps, run of the mill punishment for ever wanting to see the content, and gameplay consisting of running left or right. That all said, the dialogue isn't awful and the humor is rather nice. As a game, though, this is just not good. It's not bad, but it's most certainly not good either. It's just okay.

You'd be much better off just getting a full save and looking at the gallery. Props for them having that, I guess. Shouldn't really have to commend basic accommodations, but that does seem to be the current state of affairs with an increasing number of H games. The gameplay is genuinely nothing. It is a walking simulator that punishes you for walking. It's a porn game that punishes you for wanting porn. It's not hard, either, it JUST punishes you in a way that's a nuisance. Everything in this points to the devs having zero clue how to make a fun game, but wanting desperately for it to not be a VN.

You walk left. You walk right. You mash A+D to escape grapples or your character cums so fast that even most people on this site will be left with bolstered egos. You then continue to walk left. Or walk right. That is the game. It is not fun. It is not unique. It is not impressive. It is an embarrassment to how nice the animations are, especially since you really get no time at all to see them while P L A Y I N G the fucking G A M E. If the game's entire purpose is to facilitate unlocking the gallery, it has failed, and should just be reduced to a VN that you can skip through. And that, my horny fellows, I do recommend.

Skip the waste, go straight to the gold. Find a gallery unlock and sample the goods.

Excellent game, and I was surprised by how much content it has already! It just kept going with new characters and animations.

As far as these "Escape from Monster Girl" games go, this one has the most streamlined gameplay by far, almost acting as a simple vehicle to get you from one scene to the next. It honestly feels like a great take on the genre because it's quick, wastes no time, and the high amount of content justifies the fast pace.

However, due to the high density of content and girls, there is an issue that a lot of the individual content feels throw-away and short-lived. This is one of those games where the scenes aren't individually designed to make you cum, but you sustain your boner until you find one scene you really like and decide to finish to it. Honestly, I think that's a bit of a mistake. I personally believe in the "rule of sexy" when it comes to porn games, which means if you can make it sexier, you have absolutely no excuse not to make your game as sexy as possible.

But before we figure out how to make this game sexier, let's take a step back a second and ask ourselves... "What is a porn game?" I've pondered this question, and my conclusion is that it's 'context". What's the difference between browsing a gallery on Rule 34 and playing a game? It's that the characters and events are given context. Now let's apply that to Succubus Hunt. What are the best scenes? The ones that have context, such as the scenes you earn or the scenes that activate differently.

e.g., the scene where you have to manually talk to characters and they offer you sex instead of taking it; the scenes where you have to acquire items to give to a character; and, of course, the scenes with Willow and Umbra.

There's a bit of build-up; these scenes stand out, and sometimes there's even a bit of character development. This greatly enhances the content.

What are the weakest scenes in this game? That'll be the characters that only appear on one screen and never again. That's essentially no different from browsing a porn gallery, and the only scenes I really found standing out a little by this metric are the ones with the horny monster girls that take you in for breeding, since that at least had a little more context behind it.

So, how do we add more context to a game like this? It's a "content on loss" game, so it's not as simple as doing the typical handjob -> blowjob -> sex escalation over multiple scenes that many games have. Although if you were to give Willow this escalation, for instance, those would likely be the most satisfying scenes in the same game. How do we apply that to the various monster girls around the map?

Well, I suppose you could do this by spending more time with single girls. Maybe one girl, let's call her Emilia, hunts you throughout multiple areas and has a variety of scenes if you get captured at different times. Emilia is a shy succubus that only spies on you at first, popping her head from the bushes, but gets increasingly frustrated and less shy as you progress through her area. Instead of having four throw-away characters, you could bring her back across four areas, increasing intensity and building context. And to ensure the player knows there are a variety of scenes, actually make it hard to not get caught by her the first time—it's easy enough to escape, and the player has plenty of HP—you could even design it so she lets go after your first orgasm, as it briefly stuns her.

Just from my description alone, I think I'm already describing what would be one of the most interesting levels if you were to add it. While that was just an example, of course, a little bit of magic like that sprinkled across the game will help elevate it from a porn "gallery" into a porn "experience.".

Overall, I'd say what I've described here is typically the weakest aspect of almost all platformer and hentai side-scroller games. Let's take a step back and ask ourselves: Which games get the highest ratings? Typically, games that let you spend a long time with named characters giving you an opportunity to build up your relationship and allow it to develop naturally. Platformers typically do the opposite; you're jumping and dashing around, and suddenly a random nameless mook knocks you down and starts performing an animation. You can probably imagine how this may be less satisfying. This game already takes great strides in diminishing this issue by giving the girls unique identities, quirks, dialogue, and game-over screens. It just needs a little more character, and I think it'll hit that sweet spot.

I can't believe I slept on this game for so long. Absolutely top-tier stuff. Outstanding pixel art, engaging characters, AND some solid, functional game design. I can't wait to see what comes next (no pun intended).

This is a very promising game, the pixel art is cute and the characters are likable, I like how the succubus always drains you to death, and beast girls usually keep you as their husband <3.

The game is good even though it is in deve, it has good graphics and they are very similar to drain masion and another game called "forest of the blue skin" Many interesting characters and the boss on cell phone is complicated but once you master the player's movement, jumping and speed becomes easy. then the other characters have many animations and ways to catch you

Fantastic game, likeable characters, good pixel art sex scenes, not terribly difficult combat, and doesn't punish you much for losing on "accident" from time to time. All in all, I would put this on track to be in my top 5 pixel art games once more content gets added as it's still a bit on the short side, 2-3 hours max as long as you are familiar with these types of games and don't mind missing 1 or 2 gallery unlock tokens. I do wish there were more creampie endings though, but that's just personal taste.

Simplistic but fun.

The pixel art is mostly cute and good, love that you get a zoomed HD pixel art perspective when caught.
(Fun fact: the early versions didn't have the zoomed HD pixelart scenes, and some of those older sprites were reused at a cutscene introduced in 0.4!).

I love the character interactions (Both H and non-H), Astra my beloved silly goose.

There aren't many side-scroller/platformer H games on mobile, so that's plus.

As of the moment of writing this, the dev is pretty active in development.

My only real complaint; after a certain point you'll aquire masks, changing masks is currently awkward, you stand still and press the run key, one of the masks is platforming based, so you may accidentally change the mask before a important jump, losing your abilities and failing to land, however, it's only important for 1/2 collectables as of now.

I liked it, lots of monster girl to rape you. I wished we could do something else other than hide but I haven't finished the entire thing so the ways of escaping might get more exiting down the line. The world seem pretty big so it's easy for you to get lost. I wish there was a minimap but I guess it had to the sense of realism and adventure. The sound track is soothing and really sweet, remind me of better times.

Great game I have the patreon and its worth it ngl I cant wait for the rest of the updates and story. It is worth buying the patreon you get the monster polls and see everything before anyone else can.

This game really makes you feel like a hentai protagonist. I couldn't get past the first level but the game is great. Palpable story with a rich cast of characters that undergo incredible changes.

Generally fun demo, easy to get what you want, or avoid it. Excited for more to come in the future, which hypothetically, should be soon(ish). Also excited for the full game whenever that happens to come out

I really what to like this game but when you complete it you lose all your coins after completion it really soured my feels for the game. There are a fair few bugs like how the enemies can attacked while in dialog, this is only a problem in the mansion. Another gripe about dialog is that it is unskippible. Enemies have no cool down on attack to if you break free you can get retargeted quickly ( only really matters for the twin enemies in Mantion). The game over H-scense are bugged. Also gallery reset if your restart the game.

Tip for improvement:
- Have gallery unlocked after completion of game
- Have real saves
- Have enemies stunned after breaking free
- Have dialog be skippible
- Have enemies stop when in dialog

I really what to like this game but the loss of coins on completion really made me hate it. (I know it's like 15 minutes of game play but still)

Beautifull animation and visual style, but pretty simple gameplay that takes a bit too long, also no gallery so yeah, just 3 hearts to try the juicy sprites. I may change my rating after updates if they improve the game, it have great potential.

Im pixel graphic enjoyer and since i've seen a lot of them my expectations are little higher. There is a lot of this games, some are good, some have potential, and some are not worth even trying.

This one:
- graphics could be better, i like them, style is fine, but it just lacks quality and soul, also its very dissapointing not much changes in animations, its just very short loop
- gameplay doesnt exist, you simply run foward and spam A + D when girls caught you, you can also try to hide but i didnt see this mechanic be done well
- defeat scenes are always the same boring scheme, i tried few monster girls and quickly decided its not worth dying on purpose just to check them
- how the ui works with text and skipping dialogue is very annoying, i clicked few times wrong option cus skip is the same key as accept
- there is some potential, i liked the idea

nice i there will be more to come please try this game out if you can it s an hidden gem the secenes are nice even if a bit repetitive the only bad thing is that the game is really really easy but since it's a demo it can change

Really reminiscent of the zell23 games and Drain Mansion, so if you enjoy those then you'd probably like this one. At the time of writing this, the game is currently still a demo with a bit of content, but if the dev keeps the game going in the same direction for future updates, this game's future will look promising.
