The political "chud" term is very new and not used by many at all and is extremely rare, where as the reference from the old film, is blatantly detailed in the chud description within the game itself. There might be a line or two I missed that 'winks' at the political term, but I doubt it. People replying to you weren't being 'dolts' or mean, they were just correcting you. Its perfectly fine to be wrong sometimes and not blow a gasket.
So let me clarify something:
I was not trying to start anything with my first comment, i was just describing my exact initial reaction to the game to emphasize how to it's credit it changed it and very quickly. I used "scary" words, but aside from a stab at zoomers (you got to), they were not meant to be inflammatory. It was just an accurate description of what went through my head. I thought the dev was being coy in his/her reply because i used a potentially inflammatory word so they were trying to dismiss it, which i was happy with because the last thing i want is to bring what comes to that word into this thread.
Now, i have NEVER, EVER in all my life heard the word "Chud" used in any context but the recent one. EVER. I never saw the movie, i have never heard of the movie being referenced or talked about, i have never even heard anyone make a passing reference to the movie. I watched the Simpsons, that reference just flew right over my head into the oblivion gate if i saw it at all. To my detriment, my mind absorbs stupid American pop culture trivialities like a sponge and it's been doing it for a long time so i was confident in my assessment. However, having paid a visit to google trends i can see that there is no meaningful increase in the use of that word for the past 20 years and that it's always been there. Now this makes no sense to me, but facts are facts so i have no problem in saying that
I WAS WRONG.
If this word i never heard about has always been here then it is entirely possible that there is no double entendre at all. Though, i have to say, that makes the game less funny.
In regards to your actual reply: that was not me "blowing a gasket". I've gotten into several arguments lately because of people making instant and completely wrong personal assumptions about me based on nothing. Not all insults are made equal and the context in which they are made matters more than the word used. These things used to be very useful for putting an end to worthless brewing arguments someone had no interest having and in a moderately satisfying manner for both parties involved. I don't like what you just said and i don't wanna talk to you so I'll call you that and now you call me this and we can both go on our way with a technical tie instead of going through a date, marriage and divorce.
In short:
TLDR: look at the bold part.
