The game needs an overhaul on the character designs to make them less cartoony, they make a poor first impression. The placeholder npc designs are even worse.
Pacing needs hastening, lots of redundant conversations at the start. The overall progression is off.
The serving drinks minigame needs to basically be made optional depending on events available and changed/removed entirely when you start showing skin stage. Its really stretching its welcome after a while.
Given how unused the rpgm engine is the game might as well be a renpy vn while being functionally the same.

No idea what the dev is thinking with calling people "chuds".

I dunno, the rpgm functions don't seem to be adding a lot; I got the impression that was just picked because it was the engine the creator was most accustomed to rather than because it was particularly suited to the game.

But the 'literally every aspect of this needs to be changed because I personally don't like or understand' part... maybe just go play a completely different game, somewhere else?

the biggest problem with the game is that the numbers to trigger events are not visible to the player and force people to repeat things without knowing if it's having any effect

that and i think the art has gotten a bit worse, it's like right as she starts taking her clothes off, the art gets more simplistic and less sexy, exactly the opposite should happen

This is an impressive work of art. It must've taken days of retooling and detail work to compress that degree of shit taste into a single post less than 400 words.

I've seen professional game journalists give better reviews of cuphead than your judgement of this game

I think of all the comments I should reply to this one is the most important. In my goal to reduce money I don't want to slow the game down. My issue was that high corruption play allowed for almost infinite money making the management part of the game moot. So now the gulf between low and high corruption earning is closer together. I don't want the game to ever be a grind or slog. My goal is to get it to the point where when played well and organically the corruption of Catherine comes at a good pace along with the upgrades to the bar. I don't want one or the other to be too front-loaded.

As far as all the other stuff recent commentary I can't really speak toward. Not every game is for everyone and I don't intend to make a game for everyone (if I did I wouldn't keep bringing up cum and would be doing your usual kitchen sink approach).

For a lot of pacing I'm constantly working in the background to make it just right. I don't make everything obvious, but the gallery is there to help out. The Cheat Chicken will remain in the game to help people get the game to go at the pace they want while I tighten the bolts. As far as the bartending game my goal is right as the player is starting to get tired of it they will be able to upgrade to the waitress game and eventually whatever I intend to do with the lounge.

All that said, I don't mind people busting my ass over here. I try to absorb good criticism while not letting the bad get me down. But I like knowing what people don't enjoy even if it isn't always fun to hear.

don't sweat it, i really enjoy the game and have been a patreon backer for months. i stand by what i said but don't let it bum you out, the game is good, i meant it in the spirit of constructive criticism.

To be fair, Juice, most people aren't here for management, but the sexy corruption.

I definitely applaud putting some effort and attention into the gameplay though, even outside of the smut. It shows you're a really good Dev, as if we didn't know that before.

This game is absolutely amazing and I'm glad I found it.
The plot and worldbuilding are genuinely intriguing, and I found it really fun to play.
Also the characterization is great, I like how everyone has a good reason for doing something dramatic.
(Though Alexa just seems to be evil for evil's sake. Not a bad thing, to have a more irredeemable antagonist.)
I also really like how the kinks are integrated into the gameplay.

I'm glad you're taking well to good criticism, that is why I tried to be clear in my previous post. I love the game/idea so far, and definitely look forward to more, and think you're doing a great job. -- That being said, there is a lot of jank/time wasting stuff that could easily be replaced with something else or just removed.

We're all playing a porn game here, so naturally we want to get to the porn. Things don't need to be rushed but at the same time, no one wants to replay the same mechanics 17 times just to open up a new scene, and then repeat that process all over again for another scene and another....and another. 1-2 days of "doing the bar job" should suffice. That bar job should also not be tedious with 'quicktime' events imho.

What I like about a pirating forum like this is of course that I can get stuff for free, but also that I can decide to donate after I've played and know it's worth it rather than go in one of the million patreon scams many of these games do just to access something that might suck. This game is simple but great. The art is mostly really good, it's funny, and I love the atmosphere of it, as well as the specific kinks it caters to. Your ideas about continued developments also made me optimistic, as you seem aware of the challenges and have thought about what to do to address them. One thing that might make the minigames feel even less repetitive is just more art without necessarily being at a different corruption level, even if it's just alternative poses for wiping the desk or relaxing, but I know that can be expensive and time consuming.

Hope the corruption route can still lead to a more or less good ending where they build a booming business together to service the best way possible. I'm excited to see how this game ends up, good job so far.

I can't help but expect the corruption route to be the good ending. All the escape routes so far are depressing in one way or another, but the lewder Cat gets the more we see the chuds being genuinely caring and respectful and stuff. With the direction things have been going so far it really seems like as soon as the last of the heroine's inhibitions are gone she's gonna turn the whole building into her harem and live like a queen.

Yeah I like that take and I think it makes sense that the dev is going for that too.
If you think about it, all escape routes happen fairly early on and just end the game so I don't think they're intended to be the "main path" so to speak. To me it feels like those escape paths are more here as "what if" scenario just to see what would happen if you did leave but gameplay and corruption route all seem to point that this is where the main game is and I LOVE IT

I see people in the reviews saying there's AI generated art, but I've played this and haven't seen any. Am I missing something, or is it just schizos being schizos?
