i don't get it, in over 100 games probably taht i've played from this website, i've seen all types of artwork, some that are barely even considered art, never once or in any game i've seen anybody complain about the art style aside from "the porportions of the boobs or ass are too big or too small" sort of comments, yet in this game everybody complains about the art style, wtf is wrong with all of you that's my question, i truly would love to understand it, it has peaked my interest
It's more like 1 or 2 people said that the last CG went a little off-model/was off somehow and 20 people quoting them to give their take. It's not everybody complaining, but al lot of them discussing if it was an issue or not.

I hope More bar management and fighting some enemy update, btw where can I use the hidden camera I got from chud king I guess and where I can buy or get new suit for enter the dungeons?
You can use the hidden camera on the cat when it appears in the sewers after you feed it a couple times on the rooftop, and after you gave katana to the fedora chud. It's for one of the low corruption endings. As for the sewers outfit, I think you'll just get it automatically after unlocking the sewers.

The thing is, Catherine is already at my upper limit on how big tits can be before they start turning me off. I wouldn't enjoy any breast expansion content, which'd mean it effectively locks off all the routes it's featured in.
Good thing it ain't all about you! But seriously, it is kind of an interesting conundrum for lood games, since they are usually so visually dependent. Besides the obvious game development part about just producing all the necessary images, how many variations are necessary (ie, bigger whatever, not just alternative facial expressions). Karryn's prison really illustrated how much extra work is necessary to redraw every asset, they literally charge extra for having redrawn the entire game "bigger."

Having it part of the storyline would reduce the need to redraw assets (unless some have already been produced, or player agency allows for multiple options), plus visual representation of change/corruption, etc. Downside is that it's not everybody's cup of tea, which is not optimal for something primarily funded via donation...

I know it ain't about me, but I like to make my opinion known because otherwise developers will assume Bigger = Better and you wind up with shit like Karryn's Prison. There ought to be options between "Stapled a pair of Tomahawk Missiles to her chest" and "literal child", y'know?

And yeah, it'd be a lot of additional work, especially since the artist seems to be looking for an equalibrium here that may not exist. I still hold that the thick outlines of the original art was peak, though I don't exactly hate the new style. This is still a great game.

From an objective quality standpoint, I'd say the older version would make a better finished product than the newer one, since the artist unconciously made more visually pleasing decisions when they illustrated. Now they seem to be stuck in a limbo where they're not quite sure what does and doesn't look good, and are trying draw "correct" forms and shapes of the human body, as very typical of artists trying to improve on their 7 fundamentals halfway through the journey.

Art is just fickle like that and I don't blame them, but for now best course of action for them is to take a month or two off to focus on improving gesture and flow, maybe shape language practie as well. They were able to do it before when they weren't trying to be "correct", so re-learning it to be at the same level won't be too hard.
