I've been away from everything for a while (due to personal reasons) and have only recently started feeling like myself again, so I'm taking the time to check in on everything and update the posts that need updating. (Specifically this thread, and my favorites list, also in my signature).

For the record; Game Devs are more than welcome to promote their projects here, especially if they are either asking for a review/critique, or genuinely believe the game will be one that I'll enjoy.

Now, I'm going to make a few things clear.
  • This thread's primary purpose is for other members to suggest games to me for play or review.
  • If I am asked to review a game, I will do just that.
  • Any review will be complete, and presented as an unbiased critique of the game.

Now, a little about me, as relevant to the topic.
I love games with a great story and a well-developed, diverse cast of characters. These things are of the highest importance to me for the games on here.
If these things are included in a game (as well as the freedom to create/name the player-character) then it is almost a sure-thing that I'll enjoy the game.

The inclusion of other fantasy elements will certainly help, but isn't necessary to my enjoyment. Things like magic, fantasy-creatures (Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, etc etc) can only enhance a game if they are added in a well-conceived manner.

The inclusion of extra mini-games also certainly won't hurt, but isn't a necessity.

You can find an updated list of most of my favorites so far here: My Personal Favorites

Thank you, in advance, for your suggestions.

It's been a while since I've been on here and had to check in on this thread that I left here. I'd like to say thanks to everyone who left suggestions so far, and hope to see more suggestions left here as time goes on. Now, to address the ones that were left here.

I'll likely grab this one and test it out when the newest update drops (v.7B). The animation looks pretty solid, and having two different options for playing is certainly unique.

I checked this one out a while ago, and while it does meet all of the criteria for games that I'd be interested in, there was one major element for the game that I just couldn't get into because I'm not much of a fan of poker, and the battle system which seemed to be fairly important from what I did play of it, was built around poker. Definitely a great game in concept, but not one that I could really get into.

Reincarnotica
Corporate Culture
These two don't seem to have too much content yet, so I'll keep an eye on them, Reincarnotica in particular was just added to my watched threads. I'll be waiting until they have substantially more content in the games before I consider trying either of them.

There's only 8 unavoidable fights in the game, all of them are impossible to 'lose', and you've got a "pick a move" auto-attack button. so you can certainly ignore the entire RPG/Combat system.

Then I'll certainly have to give the game another shot. From what I could tell of it in the beginning tutorial the combat element was going to be fairly important, but if that's the case it is definitely worth going further.

Quick shoutout to your list, it's well made and I will definitely come back in the future for some suggestions from it.
I'm more into 2dcg than a 3dcg so hopefully you'll be open to trying them regardless...
Anywhoo, hope you're having a good day, and here are my recommendations:

Love Esquire - Super underrated visual fantasy game where you take the role of a lowly squire and get to romance 5 different girls(2 Redheads :sneaky:). It fits most of your requirements, though, I do wanna mention two things. For one, it doesn't have the deepest story of all time you know? Most Fantasy games don't really either...The story is still solid in my opinion but it is what it is. Also, the game wasn't first intended as a porn game, there's some smut but you'll get it towards the end. Still, the art is gorgeous and the characters are highly likable.

Dohna Dohna - Best Ero/Rpg game out there for sure. The gameplay is super addictive, we got upgrades and ability customization, and the fights are really awesome and feel good to play. The scenes all have hyper-solid voice acting and are crazy hot. The story is deep if you give it a chance, I'm always a fan of stories about fighting an omi-present antagonist like a villain underground corporation and/or a corrupt government. Again this is a 2D game but you really should give this one a try, 8-10+ hours of content.

Happiness Double Room - This one is more of a personal suggestion than anything else. The story is deep but it will only hit deep for those who've been through harsh times in life...The art is great, scenes are hot, but the content isn't infinite.

Astral Lust - Cool card game fighting concept where you create a deck that will help you against enemies. The world is built around the fact that there's a madness-inducing fog that makes people go crazy if they stay outside for too long. The game has a constant mysterious feel to it, kind of like A House in the Rift where everything is weird but we gotta roll with it. 3D game yay!

Mystwood Manor - Awesome 3Dcg animated management game where you must uncover the mystery of your father's death after the acquisition of a mysterious hotel. Lots of content, the story adds up nicely and the girls are realistically hot.

That's about it!
Hope you enjoy one or some of them, let me know your thoughts on' em.

Cheers,

I'll definitely check them out, and thanks for the links, it will make it easier to find them on here too. I think I may have played Mystwood Manor a while back when there wasn't much content for it but considering that it's been well over a year since then I'm sure a lot has changed.
I'm planning to finish updating the list thread before I update the first post here, but I should probably get to that sometime today too.

Was checking out the games, and when I cam across this I was sold on the humor alone. Definitely going to be playing this one soon.
