RPGM Summer by the Sea (Game Development Thread)

I have come across several issues with summer by the sea: cannot save or load, after I play for a certain amount of time as Jack the game turns off/closes. Is it just me or are other people experiencing the same things? This happened to me before with version 17 that was on here.

I have been able to save and such. I did experience one sudden crash.

Yeah it's better to save as often as you can, the game has a tendency to crash without warnings

i can't save or load and keep getting an error saying: Failed to load: img/characters/hero%20walk.png.

Does anyone know what is causing this error and how to fix it? I have re downloaded this game 3 times and no change.

just put a random image with that specific name in the image folder. should work as a dirty fix

I tried your suggestion but am unsure which folder to put it in and which part of img/characters/hero%20walk.png should be the title of the image.

You need to replace the "%20" bit in the name with a space. If you did it right, the name and path should look like this:

%gamedir%\www\img\characters\hero walk.png

(with %gamedir% being the directory where the game sits in)

In some cases could this happen, when your path is to long. Like Username/this folder/thatfolder/anotherfolde and so on.
Try placing the game to your desktop and then use WinRAR or 7zip to unzip.

It's been awhile since any activity here, so time has comes after a few years of trying to find a right moment to create something new. Welcome to a new title called Secrets of Middletown, a first Ren'Py game in this thread, that was inspired by many "phone-based" games on f95 games like Netorase Phone, Phone behind bars etc. Here we come with a first beasty game using the same messenger-based mechanics to tell a story that will have a place in spicy universe and have very strong sbts vibe. You will play as her father and will guide her through a first steps of her new life. No one of them have an idea that Middletown have a dark and filthy secrets and very soon our young girl will have a proper taste of it.This game for now is a kinetic novel but in future there will be some choices that will have an impact on a lives of Angie and her best friend too.If you want to try something new in beasty genre, this one can be a great option
