31.12 is a placeholder release date on the store, it was never getting released today. If it were to be released this month, it would have been around Christmas and that seems to be a normal date for Japanese porn games (I think it because Christmas is more a date holiday in Japan, and lots of people will be lonely around that time).
They also had a blog post recently saying they found some major bug and push the release back a few month.

Let's go all the way to May, why not. At this point with how long they've been cooking for, the game is either going to end up as the Elden Ring of Eroge or it's going to end up as the Concord or even Skulls & Bones of the genre, no in-between

I actually favor more to Even Numbers since MC.
So, I'll vouch for June(late), since it also means half of a year, giving them more time.
No way it will be concord or skull and bones level of failure. I know it was suppose to be a joke but those two games are spectacular level of failure hardly ever seen in all type of industry especially concord. For this game to reach that level of failure, it would need to:
1. cost stupid amount of money to develop,
2. Have no innovation and keep changing it core gameplay due to unclear plan,
3. Inferior in most aspect to it competitor, in this case it will be against other 3d eroge like koikatu or COM3D 2
4. Extremely unwanted by it customer base which would be shown by abysmall download number for demo and wishlisht, and
5. launched at stupidly high price
Out of those things, the only thing that might happen for this game is number 1 and 5 but those are not unusual for high quality games that made a lot of profit for it developer. Considering the hype around this game, the quality of this dev previous game, and the improvement of this game compared to the dev last game, this game will easily make a lot of sales even if the game cost much more than standard ero game
