It's a DLC for Aicomi. They're pretty much done with this game, we can only see if they loop back around and make a SVS2, after remaking the rest of their old Illusion games.
Speaking of modding though, the ill2cpp has been decrypted so it's wide open for more modders to step in, if only they'd get their heads out of their asses in KK.
Yeah unfortunately many modders are feeling content with KK and doesn't want to move past that game, no matter how good the Illgames game becomes. Even in default vanilla config, SVS and Aicomi shader and lighting are way better than most of the modded shader and lighting in KK.
SVS and Aicomi can only get so much better, and leap and bound of KK, if only many amazing modder of KK get out from their comfort zone, and start modding SVS & Aicomi to their full potential, now that il2cpp hurdle has been solved.
i understand their company splitted in two ( so they probably want to make money asap) but wouldn't be better for them to make something moddable like Garry's mod? like how koikatsu already is, since no one would really move from koikatsu.
this is "anime/cartoonish" graphic so there's no real improvement in the future games outside of story mode and optimizations.
or they live with the illusion that the story mode animations are better than the one made by fans in the studio.
sorry but this is not call of duty i don't wanna play or even worse pay for a game if the next year they're gonna make the same exact game with different story mode since there's emotion creation for that and F95 is flooded with games made with it.
There's only 1 successor company of Illusion, which is Illgames. Other companies, like Illumination, are completely different company. They're just happened to be created by the people who work in Illusion in the past. But Illgames and Illumination are really different business entity. They can, however, sharing talent and expertise if they choose so, because they're practically work buddy in the past and growing up creating games in the same environment.
Also Koikatsu is not "modding-endorsed" by Illusion themselves. It's just that Koikatsu is very easy to mod (and Unity games in the past in general) and Illusion choose not to forbid modding, because they knew the modding community have positive impact on their sales. I think Illgames tried to make modding harder by using il2cpp, but they also didn't forbid modding of their games. OTOH Illgames also continuing Illusion tradition giving "Studio" in the form Digital Craft, but I heavily doubt they will create a true "modding-endorsed" tools.
One of the strength of Illusion is they have a ton of ideas and implemented it in their games. While they're not in the same league of COD (hell they didn't even have 1% of the COD's $700 mil budget per game LOL) we have to respect what they did in realtime 3D H-game advancement. They're literally the realtime 3D hentai games pioneer and created so many variety of 3D H-games and have been a benchmark for 3D H-games for so long. Illgames is now continuing the legacy and I have nothing but hope for their success.
Also one big thing to note, Emotion Creators, and other Illusion's studios, and also Illgames Digital Craft. IS NOT a TOOLS to create a commercial content. Those program, as you can see in their readme, is created solely for customer enjoyment in relation to their respective linked games they purchase before (i.e; Koikatsu Studio is for Koikatsu customer who want to express themselves freely within Koikatsu world, same for Play Home Studio, SVS with Digital Craft etc). People that create commercial games/movies etc. with these tools, even if they bought it legally, are operated in grey area, because those tools are not intended to create a commercial content and Illusion are not providing support for it.
