I'm certainly not reading all of that.HAHAHAHAHAHThat's exactly one of my points!

Good because the message wasn't for you anyway!I'm certainly not reading all of that.
It's not my place nor do I care to start a flame war over people's use of AI generated images. IF YOU USE AI, COOL, I DON'T CARE. I will say as the ONLY constant user on this fanart page, creating comics here which NONE are AI Generated, people calling themselves artists when generating prompts is a insult to the craft.Aren’t you just standing on the shoulders of others, reaping the benefits of their hard work with minimal effort?
HAHAHAHAHAHThat's exactly one of my points! Because when you ask AI to make images based on an artist's art and claim that it's your art, you're just standing on the shoulders of others, reaping the benefits of their hard work with minimal effort.
I didn't create anything. The AI created it! And you show me these images and talk about time and effort as if you trained all the models that the AI used! It's hilarious! You can see the models you used on your Civitai account and NONE OF THEM WERE MADE BY YOU. Most of the images here are from people who used ready-made models, and none of them, including you, created the platform.
You can complain all you want, but the only ESSENTIAL thing about these images that you claim are yours, were precisely the art that IS NOT YOURS.
Many models there even use images WITHOUT THE AUTHORIZATION of the authors. They are even against the platform's guidelines, in addition to being illegal. And here you are, trying to brag about using something criminal and saying that you supposedly spent a lot of time and effort creating these images, when we know that's not true. Especially if we compare them to the art created by real artists.
If each style used to train each of the models you put in the AI to create these images took 10 years for the artists to develop, let's compare it to the time and effort you had to ask the AI to create this image. Did it take you 30 years to combine these models, prompts, and parameters to get this result? I DOUBT IT HIGHLY.
My image is not impressive. I only demonstrated how easy and fast it is to ask the AI to create images that could be from DarkCookie. Many of your images, however, are quite different from the original artist's style. To me, it's pretty irrelevant that images created by AI are impressive (not to mention that they can be reproduced without much effort). What's impressive is a person drawing all these things.
I agree with most of this. I'm just grateful that you and all the people arguing over this point are acting like adults. On Reddit however there have been a couple of individuals who have been nothing but children when arguing about this. It's not my place nor do I care to start a flame war over people's use of AI generated images. Everything I do takes time, effort, planning and dedication, to manipulate, paint, blend, color, and reshape. Yes, I use assets already there to keep the style, because I want my comic to mimic the original game, but I have also gone out and just drawn from scratch entire character angles.
Hell I'll even give people some leeway and say if you use an AI generator, but you manually go in and fix all the constant errors that I see because computers are dumb and don't actually know what the images are that they are generating, you are more of an Artist than some because at least you are using the AI generation as simply a guide as you go in manually fix computer mistakes. But most of the time I see people post this stuff and they just post it as is, mistakes and all. No life, no soul. Corporatized art that all looks the same.
I don't care if you agree with me or not. I will not reply to anyone who feels like they need to give me some 1,000 word AI generated barely readable essay about how AI art is somehow actually good. But you generated a Picture. You're not an Artist and it's not Art. Just because I can make Dr. Nick Rivera from the Simpsons in a character creator, doesn't mean that's my Art. Now can we please stop starting flame wars over this?
Hi!Everything I do takes time, effort, planning and dedication, to manipulate, paint, blend, color, and reshape. Yes, I use assets already there to keep the style, because I want my comic to mimic the original game, but I have also gone out and just drawn from scratch entire character angles.
I mean....it's Reddit....what are you to expect. But yeah, I'm too tired by Life and society itself to argue too hard about it. I'm just trying to make it by and if I can make some people laugh in the process, cool.I agree with most of this. I'm just grateful that you and all the people arguing over this point are acting like adults. On Reddit however there have been a couple of individuals who have been nothing but children when arguing about this.
That is the eventual plan. Just easier to make all the assets and write the story here, but once I reach what I have sort of planned as the End of my "Alma Mater" series, I will look into making this into a Ren'py Game, as a sort of 1 stop shop Archive.Hi!
From what I can tell, you write a story that takes place years after the game and has dozens (or hundreds) of images that you created by manually composing and editing the original drawings and backgrounds.
Have you ever thought about putting everything together and putting it on Renpy as a visual novel? It's very easy. You could make a kinetic story or add some options for the player. Could add music from the original game or new music, and screen effects and sounds. It would probably be a more immersive and fun experience.
I don't mind arguing. I didn't offend anyone here directly, and I also don't think I was offended in any way, I just expressed my opinion on the subject and if people want to add something to the discussion I'm ok with that.I agree with most of this. I'm just grateful that you and all the people arguing over this point are acting like adults. On Reddit however there have been a couple of individuals who have been nothing but children when arguing about this.
Main story of "Summer Time Saga: Alma Mater" Takes place about 20 years after the original game and I have a grand total of 263 completed Renders associated with the story as of when I write this (I labeled them). Though I have lost track on the actual number of posts (somewhere around 50).....I have Gimp open like all the time.Hi!

Can’t come up with an answer, so all you do is dodge the question and repeat what others say?Aren’t you just standing on the shoulders of others, reaping the benefits of their hard work with minimal effort?

Dude can you just stop victimizing yourself? You are not being personally attacked here. Can’t come up with an answer, so all you do is dodge the question and repeat what others say?
When did I ever claim these were my images? When did I ever say I was creating art? Do I even care about that?
The only thing disgusting here is your attitude—dismissing and belittling the effort of others. What a joke… Honestly, you’re just pathetic.

The only reason I’ve ever used AI-generated art is simply because I like Eve, nothing more, nothing less.
Now, looking back at all the nonsense you just spewed at me… don’t you feel ridiculous?
You talk as if he wasn’t directly responding to my comment. My initial reply wasn’t even the slightest bit aggressive—I was simply expressing gratitude to those who sacrificed their own experience for the sake of improvement.Dude can you just stop victimizing yourself? You are not being personally attacked here.
Hell you weren't even the original person Mikednew put their original reply too, it was Blackcat for correcting himself on a post for crediting Dark Cookie for an AI image generated by a Peetey, and Mike having problems with the fact that even if Peetey generated the image, it's still DC work because it's AI generation. You put yourself into this argument by replying to Mike's post that was replying to Blackcat. A critique post that doesn't even have Eve which seems to be your main thing, so I have no idea why you put yourself in it.
Like seriously people. Stop putting your emotions into a stupid conversation about AI generation....it's dumb, and it doesn't matter. we all know it's dumb and we have better things to do than fight over this.
You haven't ever called yourself an artist or credited yourself as the creator of them? Cool, that means the Criticism isn't pointed to you and you don't have to feel bad about it.
Speaking of which. How's the next chapter coming. Love your work.
Working on a chapter now. Hopefully i can get it out by tonight if I time manage well.Speaking of which. How's the next chapter coming. Love your work.
Okay, And?....You chose to reply to Mike's comment first. You chose to keep replying to his after that. You could of just decided at any point "Nah, you know what, this ain't worth it", and just not reply. You talk as if he wasn’t directly responding to my comment. My initial reply wasn’t even the slightest bit aggressive—I was simply expressing gratitude to those who sacrificed their own experience for the sake of improvement.
But you saw how he responded. This is just someone who’s arrogant and disrespectful, acting like they know everything. Did you really expect there not to be an argument? Yeah, it’s a bit of a waste of time, but still.
So, who was the one attacking and belittling people who actually put in the time to experiment with AI art? Who was the one running their mouth and stirring up conflict?Okay, And?....You chose to reply to Mike's comment first. You chose to keep replying to his after that. You could of just decided at any point "Nah, you know what, this ain't worth it", and just not reply.
As my Dad would say "You can either be right, or you can be successful." And being successful sometimes means just deciding when your efforts are better placed somewhere else. Especially since if you never replied to Mike's first Comment, he'd probably never mention you since you never credit yourself as a artist or the creator of the images. You aren't the people he has a problem with.
An argument takes two to tango. Especially when it's online and you can easily walk away whenever you want. No one stopping you from just letting this get burried. So, who was the one attacking and belittling people who actually put in the time to experiment with AI art? Who was the one running their mouth and stirring up conflict?
Yeah, engaging with someone like that might be a waste of time, but that doesn’t mean their behavior is justified.
If they act that way, then of course it’s going to lead to arguments—it’s all on them.
You do more than that with the story you have created. You have entertained and inspired (Well you inspired me when I made my stories)I mean....it's Reddit....what are you to expect. But yeah, I'm too tired by Life and society itself to argue too hard about it. I'm just trying to make it by and if I can make some people laugh in the process, cool.
