So you didn't see the April 29th update in the OP, or you chose to ignore it and still post there was nothing ? And then failed to check that it was the fastest update we got in years ? And that most updates take ~4 months on average ?Is this game dead? I haven't seen any updates for months now

i don't get why people are crying. the future of this game is looking bright. personally i can't wait for pre tech update 26 with these appealing characters, hope they all get preggo content too.
I disagree as someone who said dev doesn't deserve the crazy amount he's earning several times. Game is still top notch in art department even if I like the old style much more. Gameplay is still miles better than lots of games/VNs. Shit ton of character variety, huge sandbox, mostly good writing, lots of side activites, etc.
Game is using Ren'Py engine so IMO there isn't much difference with most of the games using the same engine. Sure 4:3 aspect ratio and maybe ren'py version can be out of date. But no big difference for the most games, some devs can do a good job while customizing the engine with more flashy UI and some QoL changes, but they are minority.
Sure dev loves taking his time and milking the game, but he releases the game free. Doesn't hide his earning amounts like most devs do. So even if he milks he's transparent enough.
What I would prefer was he finishing the game without any tech update, without remastering the art, keep going with 4:3. After finishing startting the complete renovation of the game, maybe adding more expansion content..

No way this game is out of date. Have you actually played any of the bazillion "1-2 hour tech demos" that are being sold as full $20-40 porn games now a days? Most adult games from the past few years never make it past about 300 images and 1-2 hour game length even after a full year of development. And that gameplay is mostly hitting Enter to go to the next scene. The same can be said about the Japanese game industry with most of their games being released as 3 hour RPGMaker low effort projects with only about 100 images.

Outdated ? Compared to what ? Name 1 hand-drawn Renpy game that's better "under the hood"-wise and you might have a point. What a Legend is a clunky mess compared (they're still uising .jpgs for images/animations, no wonder they got over 2GB in 4 updates, by the game's end, they'll be 10+ unless they compress their stuff) to this burning dumpster fire of code. Also, what do you think the last year+ of getting people around here so butthurt with the recode will do when they finish ?
This post makes no sense. You like older art, yeah no. You can't come out here and say the cheekbone lines on every1 that makes them look like 60+ is better than what we got now.
Dev is milking a free game. How does that make any sense either ? So you're saying he's delaying on purpose for reasons but that doesn't affect any1 since the game is free whatever you do ?
Prefer he does nothing. Another pearl of pro logic. So you want them to drop over a year of work, don't release the widescreen so phoners can actually click on stuff with their fat fingers and keep the godawful old art (that's mostly Debbie and Erik to some extent) for whatever reason ? Then wait in 5+ years when the game is mostly done and waste another 2+ years redoing everything ? Instead of doing it now and be done for the remainder of the dev cycle ?
Making sense of anything above is beyond me
This game won't be "completed" until 2030 probably. If you want a full game might as well get a time machine
Why not give it the Cyberpunk year, 2077? It will seem more Realistic!
