Well, 2020 has been a bad year in that regard, also because of Covid. DC works from home and having three very young kids and no daycare available will certainly hurt your workflow. Add, that even team members and especially Sploosh seems to have gotten tired of the main story and you'll get a feeling that (too) little gets done, even though the actual updates weren't that small.

But from watching the streams I don't see any change in DC's motivation to be honest. In fact he actually seems pretty eager to finally work on the schoolgirls again, once all this other stuff is done.

Well, that was always wrong thinking on my part. I've always assumed that "single nerds" develop games like STS. Furthermore, I always assumed that especially in Covid-19 times, people would have to have more time for developing digital things. But ultimately we don't know anything about the person on the other end of the virtual line.

Nah, DC is indeed a dude close to his mid 30s by now, his youngest child was born back in spring last year, while his oldest was born shortly after he started developing the game. His wife does some of the administrative stuff and she runs the twitter account.

Especially for projects which run for such a long time and which are so closely connected to the work of one single person, there'll always be some ups and downs.

No, posing simply means to arrange the art assets DC creates, mostly the gestures, movements, etc. of the characters you see, so they match the dialog.

Unless those new poser dudes manage to 360 noscope everything DC and coder did in the last year+, there won't be any changes. They basically just change whose name is in the credits, not how they implement stuff in-game (hopefully).

Their 3D models are good i don't know on what you are about. There are way worse 3d modeled games on this site and most of them are copying from each other.

yea but I mean how many people really download a porn game for the story - sure its an important part - but he gives 3 new sex scenes - each scene involving like 4+ animations so people really just blaze through the story to get the sex

or they just use full saves like me once every two or so months lol

I personally have never played ToN - I just load full saves and see the good shit so Idk anything about the story

Well he considers it mediocre yet can't discuss that the argument is only about consistent updates.
I never said DC is work is bad or mediocre (I became a Patron cause I enjoy the game). And I also feel bad knowing that he has kids to feed and makes sense that he can't do everything (streaming, coding etc) simultaneously at any given time.

But all I ask is from him to make the updates more consistent.


Now here's the scenario:
If after the widescreen update the next 3 updates are let's say come within 4 months consistently (total 12 months) I will go back to become one of his Patrons again cause I know that every major quality improvement updates are already done by that point and it's just new/ rework around characters.

I just wanted to know if anyone here is on of his Patrons or simply don't care.
Because I as a fan do care about both Summertime Saga and Treasure of Nadia.

And yes I am a consistent Patron of NLT since 2019.

there are way worse but 3d models in general comparatively to 2d art is awful imo, it looks like dolls/clay as I said, you're free to enjoy whatever you want there's clearly a market for it but comparing the two.... LOOOOL

I mean, I don't know why we'd be talking about ToN, but NLT does really a good job. The quality is way above average and the game is very, very focussed on the release schedule and on the scenes. He certainly does take shortcuts when it comes to gaming elements/logic and certain characters at some points, but for a porn game that's totally fine. Everything is pretty simple, yet it works really well. Both games cater to different audiences and that's ok.

@caspian90: When it comes to a fixed release schedule, it's just something you won't get with SS. It never was consistent and it probably never will be. If that's what someone is looking for, SS is just not a game to support, I'd guess.

I was a patron for quite some time and I may pledge again, once the schoolgirl updates turn out to be good. I mainly stopped, because I don't really like this how main story stuff got bigger and bigger and I think DC really has more than enough money at the moment, so my pledge certainly won't matter at all anyway.

Lol, 3 major updates in a year. Maybe back in 2017 you might have wetdreamed about it and it might have happened. No way in hell will we get 3 new girls' full builds from nothing to pregsex within 4 months of each other. Only feasible way would be to cheapshot a lot of stuff and have hugely lackluster updates (like 2 scenes per girl and nothing really new)

Also, outside of moaning and looking like a kid throwing a tantrum, nothing you do in here will change anything game-wise. You want something to change/make DC realize his life as a dev is a huge failure ? Haul your face to Patreon/Discord and let loose at him there.
