That's exactly the problem, everyone is going to have their own idea of what best is. The dev has to keep creating new toys for his audience to play with or he won't get the funding he needs. Because, they'll get bored.He's Patreon Adult Creator No.1 - And in the Top 10 list of whole Patreon. We expect him to deliver the best, from content to system.
Take Stardew valley for example, that game was complete within a year, but the dev spent the next four years refining and polishing the game, before finally releasing it and you just can't do that if you rely on patreon; which, as I said, is a drawback of patreon. It's not the Achilles heel of game development, but it certainly is a detrimental facet of the production of summertime saga.
