I'm stuck at home with the map greyed out! It's Wednesday and after waking up, I heard the door bell and the game said I should check as the new "man of the house". The phone log says "Someone's at the door downstairs. I wonder who?" - but when I go outside, there's nobody there! I tried interacting with Debbie and Jenny, tried interacting with everything everywhere in the house, nothing seems to cause the game to advance. Anyway, what seems to be wrong is that someone was supposed to be outside, but isn't.

How can I advance?

This is the second time I get stuck at this point... Still playing v0.20.16 , is that version broken, is this a known bug? Any fix or workaround?

The time slot is the morning and you say the map is not available, so I assume you have Anon walk out of his room, down the stairs and go outside using the front door. Did you have Anon walk back in the front door after going outside?

Have you made sure you have done everything up to that point on this page:

I wasn't following a walkthrough. In the two days that went by I worked three times at the aunt's, and spent money buying the MtG card for Eric, and also the game that gets him to accept taking kitchen duty at school in the mornings. So Thursday evening I was 20$ short of buying the jerry can with gas.

If this event has a requirement that I need to accomplish first, then those requirements need to be set as conditions for the event to trigger...

Anyway, thanks for the tip, I'll go back to an earlier save. But it's a drag knowing that if I choose not to follow a guide, something like this can happen again in the future...

Edit: Went back a day, bought the jerry can, mowed the lawn and played the laundry sequence. But the next morning, the same thing happens, I'm still stuck! No idea how much further I'd still need to go in Debbie's story, the walthrough says to wait 4 days, sounds like this event shoundn't trigger until much later?

The final part of the Main Story (the last release before the Tech Update began) came out in March 2021.

After October 2022, there was virtually no progress in any of the tracked categories.
The patreon subscribers started to drop off in October 2023, the website's Tracker was "reset" and there was a bump in subscribers again.

& look at his monthly subscribers and income for the past five years.

There's been some progress, but honestly DC is just in this for the passive income.
There's no drive any more but he seemingly won't expand the team or even hire someone on a temp basis to help complete the project.

It's very interesting how it's able to do certain aspects extremely well, and completely fumble others. No idea what lies at the root of it. It's almost as if the further it wanders off from the center of the image the more it turns into dream-like hallucination/guesses to fill the void.

You asked a specific question, I answered it. Patreon's guidelines, as a U.S. company, are largely informed by credit card processing companies that do not want to be involved with transactions supporting adult content that depicts illegal acts (my understanding is that sexually explicit media that depicts illegal acts - such as incest, however it is jurisdictionally defined - is not strictly legal even if the acts are consensual). (How that draws the ire of credit card processors but live-action porn producers with entire channels devoted to step-cest charging monthly subscriptions are somehow fine and dandy is beyond my understanding.)

So I haven't played the game for years. Did this new "tech update" just break the entire game? It doesn't seem like much changed in the tech update so I'm wondering why a lot of the content isn't implemented? Is it just them taking their time like usual or something fundamentally different that keeps them from keeping a bunch of the content?

I have no idea if it's a bug but I'm stuck in the main story. I'm playing version 0.20.16 and have spied on the factory grounds for the first time. I was caught there by Harold and his assistant. What happens next?

Do you recommend me to play the game?

Because I only play finished games
I have been waiting for this game to end for three years and it seems that it will continue forever

Note that if i played and finished it until the latest update was released
I will never go back to her

That's why I only play finished games

Should I wait a few more years or enjoy what comes out of it?

This game will probably never be "finished" as you would define it. The developer has stated for over 7 years that until they no longer have ideas and fans no longer have ideas, they will likely keep adding to this game. Also, with the tech update setting back everything, it's still a year or longer until the next the content updates will even begin to be released.
