Both versions listed in OP - v0.20.16 and v0.21.0.0-wip.4468 - have been successfully playtested up to Android 14. Because of the display ratio of your screenshot, I am assuming you are playing v0.20.16. Have you attempted to add any mods or is it an unaltered APK?
No modifications to the game files. Maybe it's because I'm attempting to play on joiplay? I've tried the apk but all I get is a black screen

Meh, i always tought that in life complaining is only worth if it could lead to something. We already complained a lot for the first "rework" update, after so much time i just expected to find the thread almost dead while people were waiting for the next one... I suppose i was wrong and some people just likes to complain for weeks/months even if it won't lead to anywhere.
Its contentious but the dev himself admitted that the noise or something along those lines influenced his decision to release the tech update in parts. You can rightly say nearly all of that noise was from his patrons but its been shown that at least some of them read this thread still.
So in this case it was not pointless complaining but complaining with an effect ;)
You can also argue that this hasn't really sped things up but its definitely something new which is what most people wanted after the long quagmire this game had fallen into.

And you seriously thought people would have stopped complaining? There is literally nothing new to talk about this game and there wont be for a very long time.
The only pertinent discussion is the very questionable decisions been made in development over recent years.
Yup. The update was about a month and a half ago and there's still people showing up daily asking why the content disappeared. A byproduct of the tech update decision is that there's going to be nothing else to talk about for an extremely long time.

Still being quoted by cultists i see.
Yes, the developer of Summertime Saga has paid a member of the F95 forums to teach other members of that forum how to use the search function. You've cracked the case wide open.
Curses, foiled again. ;)
Isn't the next update supposed to come out at the end of this month?
Yes.
Supposed to be like in mid-August, but most people think it would probably be in September since we can't take the dev words for it.
Supposed to be the end of July, DC even made mention of such at least twice in a Picarto stream I checked about a week and a half ago (once at ).
you got no likes. try again. imagine having no life.....
Ironic, you are. Imagine worrying about the number of likes on a porn forum. Sad life if that is your measure of success.
Also, a lot of people complaining didn't read the threat before, so for then, it's the first time "complaining" and we, who were here before, we answer them, and new people are coming, and it's just add more people who already complained to answer the new ones, etc.
No, a lot of people aren't complaining for the first time... in the vast majority it is the same people we have seen time and again.
Where do I get a save that has everything unlocked for the new version
You play the game. It's only Debbie and Jenny's storyline, anyway. You can check the Save Request Thread that has been conveniently linked in the first post of this thread.

No, it is assumed that it is read. It has only been shown that account created by the developer logs in at regular intervals (and has done so for the 6 years the account has existed - but almost never interacts in any thread). There is no listing of activity ("Last Seen: XXX minutes/days/whatever ago viewing XYZ thread"). It may be a slight difference - but it is a very distinct one.

The Minions don't give up, do they?
Thanks for proving my point.

Strange how simply pointing out public information (next release date), repetitive whiners, sharing information about how to find a save file, and the like is considered anything malicious or duplicitous.

You are right in the point you are making. We can do no more than assume for the dev.

I was actually talking about Patron subscribers, a few have commented here in the past, with them its more than an assumption

Sorry for the confusion. When I read your first post - the way your subject and object nouns were ordered and the structure of the sentences, I was under the impression you were referring back to the dev about who was reading what.

Of course there are patreons which interact here... and share info here (Username7 and Hero1, just to name a couple). However, even then, if you look at the known patreons (not simply just ones who say they currently subscribe in their post(s) - but have shown through sharing subscriber-only information) - those particular patreons have not been as anxious nor accusatory as what we have seen from others in this thread. And, many times, they have attempted to diffuse the animosity in the thread.

In fact, they have shown, time and again, patience, understanding, and resolution to let DC do what DC do. So, to think that those who do so would then take that information back to the discord/patreon and pass along the complaints is a bit of a stretch of consideration without some support. Otherwise, it is, again, making an assumption based upon a preconceived notion of importance. There may be - but the dots connecting A to B are a bit fuzzy at this time.

Are they still on-track for the 2nd Tech Update release at the end of this month? Whether or not this cadence can be established, never mind kept-to, will be the first big test of the new codebase structure

Second time, same video - from the excerpt I posted a 3 posts before yours (2:33)
You may be in luck... perhaps. Possibly. One day. Roll of the die.

Oh, that's really nice and convenient.
The 10 year old game that never finished, rebooted so they can continue with the shittery.

I mean, why not? Geseeki's still pulling in numbers with his clone. :HideThePain:

You two, pack it in. This fighting will make the mods lock the thread.
I see this as a win. Keep fightin' bois.
You have a hill to die on.
I'm sure it matters to someone.
