It will be the end of the month. The new development pattern after the code refactoring is clear; releases will be regular, but the new content contained within each will be variable. The scope of the bi-monthly updates has already fallen behind their initial promises for the pace of the rebuild, so you can bet that the Tech Update has simply replaced Old Problems with New, rather than fundamentally upgrading the pipeline.
If you were a cynical man you could say the new structure is perfect for ensuring the game never receives the Abandoned tag again

So, let me see if I have this right. A few years ago, this game had a ton of content and was progressing well until the devs decided to upgrade the game to 16:9 from 4:3 as well as doing a drip feeding "tech update" of small, incremental updates to various things for a few years. Then, when this "tech update" was finished, rather than all the content from before still being in the game, they took pretty much all of it out for now with the promise that it will start coming back gradually and the game in its current form only has some content for the Mom and sister but not all of it.

So what's the estimate on all the content being put back in? 5 years?
Also, does "remake" include changing things like that stupid storyline with the Aunt and the human milking barn, or is it all just coming back the same but slightly more "upgraded"?

yes, except that you missed that you can still play the full content to date in v0.20.16 while waiting for the tech update to have all the content migrate over.

We don't know, he wants the game to keep going forever and always add more story, but who knows how many years before we reach the same content, 5? 6? 7 years maybe?

Because v21.0.0 is a preview version of the tech update that isn't completed yet. Not everything from the older version has migrated yet. Basically what the current (and repeated) conversation is going on in the thread as you typed that.

I think a lot of people are asking those questions.
They're not just updating the art assets, but reworking and adding story and dialogue.
If they add back in Diane's story for example, which AFAIK, has most of the updated art on the rig, it crosses over with Debbie's and Jenny's storylines, which now need to be stitched together with the new story, and that's going to prolong things.
Does anyone else remember the debate on whether or not to bring back Diane's house and push the barn to the side of the property?

Worse, it was already at a snails pace long before his patreon people voted on converting the game to 16:9. A few years back regular updates had better content

Not personally, but I have always thought that instead of getting a barn at all, she could still have this ludicrous "human milking" idea but then discover Daisy who produces way more milk than Diane ever could and since it's more natural for Daisy, Diane decides to just make her the milk source for her business.
