The save games are scheduled to work starting next version. So you should be able to use your 0.16 savegames in 0.17 if all goes to plan.
Else I'd agree about the patreon thing, especially since SS was never meant to be really about incest in the first place. The family just happened to be among the first characters who got introduced but I'm really not bothered at all by the current setup for now. It's been a really fun update in general and I really enjoyed all those small scenes and interaction with so many characters.

Use the master key to go into Judith's locker and take out the broken flute. This will trigger a conversation with Erik who will tell you how to make a new one. Then go to the Tree House and pick up the scrap wood near the tree. From there, go to your garage and grab the drill off the shelf on the left side of the garage. Then go to the work bench on the right side of the garage and you will make a replacement flute. Finally return to the music classroom and talk to the teacher after you've made the new flute and this will complete that quest.
