I've tried to mostly stay out of the dogpile because I agree the update was dogshit, but has anyone else noticed the absolutely Herculean effort on the download page to put lipstick on this pig?:

That right there is what we call "deceptive marketing", kids. Just look at all that bright text in the preview version, and how many more green checks there are! Why would you ever download the old crappy version, what with its piddling features like "All content available" and "Music and Sound". Who plays games for their story and music? Not you, savvy consumer, you're in it for that smooth input and load times.

Side tangent, my last job pulled the same garbage during the union recruitment seminar. In the breakdown of union vs. non-union there were like three lines dedicated to salary and benefits (which were the same for both groups) followed by twenty or so lines with garbage like "Be able to make a difference by participating in union votes!" It was about as subtle as the metaphorical brick they were not-so-subtly threatening us with if we didn't join the union.

All lewd scenes except one are in v0.20.16, which has dozens more scenes than the current v0.21.0. if you only want to unlock the lewds and not actually play the game, just download v0.20.16.

Yup. if you had read the changelog in OP or on the developer's website before downloading or in the game before starting to play, you would not have wasted your time.

oh wow it took me this long to muster the courage to check it out and indeed it has nothing new aside from the ui huh, thanks for the help and pardon my annoyance, gonna have to give this one another decade for it to reach it's previous progress

No. Cheat mode is turned on and Anon starts with $10,000. That's more than enough for everything the character needs in v0.21.0, and some left over. Just don't go overboard having Anon give Jenny $100 to feel her up in her room.

Will add to this to say that the bank should also have 1 million in reserve for the player.

I don't know about anyone else, but I tried to break the game by buying everything possible, and paying the car engine fee. They covered their bases.

ah the good old "imma remake the game code, so it is faster to make content!" spends more time doing that, ends up realizing how forked the code is, meaning it will take far longer. waste even more time making up to the point he left off, and even when finally its done remodeling, will still take as much time as before to release each update...

at this point i think porn game devs who try to pull this shit must either be insane, or in need of an excuse to abandon the project. because i cant see how they cant correlate this happening EVERY SINGLE TIME one of them tries to pull this shit, and it back fires in the exact same way...

let it be a lesson, if the game code is borked, just live with it, try to optimize what you can, and move on.

also, renpy is a good engine, but unless you are really good at it, stop trying to make massive games. go for smaller stuff, that is easier to handle.
